Are you are looking for a cycling challenge, a great ride with friends and an opportunity to kick back afterward to swap stories?
Well, we have the ride for you. Raid Rockingham combines elements of the area’s best roads on a supported course, with a great party awaiting you at the finish. Our post-ride party is legendary - there will be craft beer on tap and some tasty grub to match.
What's a Raid? – Our definition- a raid is a challenging route that includes a significant amount of packed-gravel riding and at least one climbing segment. Some would call it a dirt road Randonnée, we just call it a Raid. This is not a race. A properly prepared rider and bike of most any type can do this. Our guarantee – you will finish tired but feeling accomplished. It’s probably not for everybody, but you’re not everybody, right?
This Raid – Raid Rockingham features two routes: a 60-mile route and a 45-mile route. Both routes are delightful! Gravel curious? We also offer a popular Intro the Gravel option - ride the 45-mile or shorter distance in a fun group, led by ride guides and at your pace!
Navigation - all routes will be judiciously marked with turn arrows. In prior years we marked all intersections with arrows (and plan to again) but town permitting requirements and sign vandalism may compromise their effectiveness . We also provide downloadable files for your GPS and will have printed cue sheets available at the ride.
