    This year's 50th edition of the Saunders 10k will once again be held on the third Thursday in August, (8/20) starting at 6 pm., and will be limited to 500 competitors. In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, a virtual race will also be held for those who are unable to participate in the official live race.

    The Live race will be run on a modified version of the original course that winds around and through the town of Rye, NH. The start and finish will be on Central Road near the Partners Bank with the finish and parking across the road in the large field near the turn onto Locke Rd. (Use 211 Central Rd. for GPS location) The race will have cash prizes, AND as in year’s past, there will be a limited number of special T-shirts that will need to be won in each of the age groups

    The Saunders 10K is endorsed by the New England 65 plus Runners Club

    Post-race, we will celebrate with the traditional party.

Your support allows the multi-disciplinary care team at the Mass General Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital to provide complimentary supportive, wellness and integrative therapies to care for the mind, body and soul of patients and their families. These services offered through the Survivorship and Wellness Program make an incredible impact for patients every day!

    Join us for the Second Annual New England Ostomy 5k Fun Run and Walk on Sunday, October 4, 2026 in celebration of Ostomy Awareness Day!

    Celebrate with us the beautiful Wallis Sands State Park in Rye Beach, NH. Whether you run, walk, roll, or cheer from the sidelines, this family-friendly event is all about raising awareness, building resilience, and supporting the United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA). Enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze as you make your way along the picturesque seaside course. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA), a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible (https://www.ostomy.org).

    The host site for this event is the NH Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation.

    There will also be a Raffle to participate in during the event. Bring cash, your checkbook or credit card, as there are a number of Gift Cards, an Heirloom Family Portrait Package including one night's stay in Portsmouth, NH and much more to choose from!

    The Registration Fee includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib. Don't delay, register today to order the T-Shirt size you'd like to wear at the event.

    PACKET PICKUP

    You can pick-up your Race Bag, T-Shirt and Bib the morning of the event starting at 8:00 AM.

    Awards will be presented to the top finishers in the Open and Ostomate categories.

    CREATE OR JOIN A RACE GROUP/TEAM!

    Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE button.)

    Raise $125 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

    Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

    We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE button at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.

The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!

    Our 5K is held on one of the most beautiful courses in New England. It starts and finishes at the Great Island Common at the mouth of the Piscataqua River. The course runs through the scenic and historic roads of New Castle NH. We have the largest free raffle in New England, great food and a high quality race hat to the first 700 registered. We also offer 3 kids fun runs and a new playground to entertain the whole family

    All proceeds of the GI5K go to Charity.
