"Your Story Matters" Falcon 5K Run/Walk for Mental Health Awareness

Jefferson Township Intermediate School recognizes the importance of bringing mental health awareness programs and information to our schools and community. Non-profit mental health organizations will be at the event to share information about the services and programs, as well as mental health resources. Spectators are encouraged and welcome to the event!

The event will take place at the Jefferson Township High School athletic complex. The Youth Color Run will be on the back fields beginning at 9:00 am. JTMS Student Council and Gateways, and JT-Teen Scene will be there to have fun with the children along with a visit from our very own FALCON! and fun craft activity. Children participating in the Color Run are encouraged to wear white t-shirts so they can see the brightness of their colors!

The 5K Trail Run will kick off at 10:00 am. You may choose to walk, run, or jog. Set your own personal goals and choose what suits your own personal story. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female finishers in each 10-year age group category and for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Male and Female finishers for the 5K Trail Run.

In addition, the money raised from the event will be used to support the Jefferson Township Education Foundation and the Middle School Positive Behavior Support In Schools (PBSIS) Program in order to promote Social-Emotional Learning opportunities and mental health awareness programs.

There is sure to be some fun with music and giveaways from local businesses. Please click on the link below to register prior to the event to ensure that you receive a goodie bag and T-shirt. We plan to have registration the day of the event as well.

🧟 Clinton Road Zombie Run – Zombie Crawl, 5k & 10k

Where the undead meet endurance.

Clinton Road, infamous for its eerie legends and haunted reputation, becomes the ultimate backdrop for a chilling challenge. Runners will test their speed, stamina, and courage as they race through shadowy woods, foggy stretches, and the unsettling silence of one of New Jersey’s most mysterious roads.

👟 Race Distances

• Zombie Crawl: This walk/run is guaranteed to get you moving. Grab your missing limbs and hit the road for a brisk "tour" of Clinton Road. Come costumed and ready to show that the undead don't stay dead.

• 5k: A fast-paced sprint through the haunted forest, perfect for beginners or thrill-seekers.

• 10k: The full endurance test—only the bravest survive the whispers, shadows, and lurking zombies.

🎃 Atmosphere

• Zombie volunteers line the course, ready to chase, cheer, and spook runners.

• Haunted aid stations with eerie lighting and themed refreshments.

• Finish line festival featuring music, costumes, and awards for best zombie runner.

🏆 Awards & Fun

• Prizes for top finishers in 5k and 10k distance.

• Costume contest for the most creative undead look.

• “Survivor Medals” for everyone who makes it to the finish line.
