RUN TO X-TREMES Monday, July 27th- Friday, July 31st

    9 am to Noon

    Lodestar Park, Newton, NJ

    Our 25th year of Xtreme!

X-Treme Youth Running Camp has earned an excellent reputation as one of the region's premier youth running camps. In its 25th year, the Camp is held at bucolic Lodestar Park which offers a host of varying terrains making it the perfect venue to prepare middle and high school kids for their upcoming cross-country season or condition them for whatever fall sport they do!

The Camp runs from Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st from 9 am to noon each day of the week and features fantastic motivational guest speakers as well as endurance and speed preparation.

The X-Treme Running Camp experience is something fantastic and unique. The Camp takes full advantage of Lodestar Park's superb training venues. The Camp caters to middle and high school runners, but younger kids with a love of the sport often also attend. We welcome runners of all abilities as well as athletes involved in other sports looking to improve their endurance, speed and overall fitness. Each day includes an endurance session, a speed session (in each, kids are grouped according to their ability) plus a highly acclaimed guest speaker. Our Camp is directed by elite distance running husband and wife team Guy & Laurie Gordon, and all counselors are seasoned adult runners. We motivate with goal-setting, visualization, form analysis, injury prevention, overall core and body strength building, racing techniques and the power to believe in yourself and reach your full potential.

    TESTIMONIALS:

"I come to speak here every year. This camp is all about learning to be the best you can be and put in the work to get there both with sports and in all aspects of life."

-Four-time Irish Olympian who has also run over 100 sub four minute miles, Marcus O'Sullivan

"I wouldn't miss speaking at X-Treme. This camp is pure motivation and I'm proud to be a part of it."

--Internationally acclaimed motivational speaker, Cornell Thomas

“This camp is all about instilling the proper discipline and culture it takes to be a successful runner”

-Brian Corcoran Championship, Cross Country & Track Coach at Pope John High School

“There are three things that make you a good runner: you must have the interest, the attitude and the discipline. Sussex County is one of the best areas to train. The terrain around here is absolutely wonderful.”

    Peter Rono, Olympic Gold Medalist

“Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.”

The Late and Great Tom Fleming and long-time X-Treme speaker, Multiple winner, NYC Marathon
