This is the Dahlgren Lions Club’s biggest fundraiser to help us provide eye exams, glasses, hearing exams, hearing aids, scholarships, and more.     Team Information

    Bring your team to the Dirty Lion Mud Run and get MUDDY in the 4-mile Dirty Lion Team Challenge for a chance to WIN a team award!. Create a team and invite friends, families, co-workers, church members, and any members from other special organizations to join you.

    If you want to create a team, start by clicking the SIGN UP button, and choose the 4-Mile Dirty Lion Mud Run event. You will be asked if you would like to "Join or create a team". Choose "yes" and "continue". After you read and sign your waiver, you will see a button that reads, "Create a New Team". Anyone you invite to join your team will click the button that reads, "Join an existing team".

    If you don't want to create or join a team, no worries! Just click the button that reads, "No team". It's that's easy!

    For those who want to participate in the Team Challenge there are three team levels to choose from with two awards at each level.

    Largest Team Challenge: for groups with 21+ participants

    Medium Team Challenge: for groups with 11 to 20 participants

    • Best team outfits

    Smallest Team Challenge: for groups with less than 10 participants

    The Run:

    • Choose one of 2 scenic courses: 8K starts at 9:00 AM; 5K starts at 9:05 AM.

    • Well maintained (non technical) dirt trail through the 1000 acre farm that borders the Rappahannock River.

    • Chip-timed with awards for Top 3 Overall and Age Groups Male/Females (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, every 10 yrs)

    The Fun:

    • Live Music at the post race party

    • Craft beer available at the Tasting Room

    • 1 Complimentary Beer ticket per runner (21+)

    • 2 Food Trucks will be on site for tasty local food options!

    The Amenities:

    • Upgraded Custom Tech shirt for all participants. Women's, Men's/Unisex, and Youth T-shirts, or upgrade to Women's Racerback Tank Top for $5 extra. Men's Tanks available for no added fee. *Please Register by Aug. 30 to guarantee your first choice. Many extras ordered and are available while supplies last for registrations after Aug. 30.

    More Race Info:

    • Fun for all ages and paces (*Time Limit is 1hr. and 40 Minutes for the 8K and 1 Hour for the 5K)

    • Walkers and children welcome in the 5K. Need to be registered to be on course for the safety of all participants.

    • This is a dog friendly race - (Must be well behaved, leashed and start toward back)

    • Strollers Permitted (May not be suitable for all strollers. Please note this is a trail course on packed dirt and some gravel)

    • Rain or Shine

    • No refunds or transfers

    • Race has a max capacity of 250 participants.

    Packet Pick-Up scheduled for Race day from 7:30 - 8:30 AM. Runners/walkers arrive by 8:30 to pick up bib and shirts. Late arrivals may not start course after 9:00AM and 9:05 AM start times. Late arrivals can still pick up their swag.

    Join the Friends of Caledon Race series with the Howlin Coyote, a non-profit event allowing runners to enjoy a challenging race with varying terrain.

    This is a dog friendly race and your leashed furry running partner can run along side you as part of your paid registration. All dogs should be kept on a leash no longer than 6ft. No off-leash running will be permitted.

    This race will be disposable cup free. Each runner will recieve a speedCup - you can carry it with you on your run or bring your own hydration container.

    Swag:

    Race swag is to be determined. Exploring options along with something for the dogs! No guarantees for swag a week before the event.
