- Braamfie Runners started in March 2012 and have become a key part of Johannesburg's running scene. They take their name from Braamfontein, their home neighborhood, and reflect the city's tough and resilient character. The group began as invite-only but now welcomes over 50 members, following the idea of Ubuntu. Yolanda, Tumi, and Andrew lead the crew, organizing training for big races like the Soweto and Comrades Marathons from their base, Prefontaine.
