    Trailrunners Brabant

Every Monday at 8pm, around fifty runners arrive at Gulbergen estate in Nuenen to chase elevation on the rolling hills of what locals call the Roof of Brabant. Founded in September 2015 by Captain Ron, Trailrunners Brabant emerged from a straightforward realization: the Netherlands may be famously flat, but Eindhoven sits within reach of the country's closest thing to mountains. Hill Repeat Monday, their signature run, transforms a potential slog into weekly celebration. Ten to twelve kilometers. Two hundred fifty to four hundred meters of elevation gain. Seventy-five minutes of forest paths, climbing trails, and the kind of training that redefines what Dutch trail running can be. The format balances structure with freedom: the first and final fifteen minutes unfold at conversational pace with no dropped runners, while the middle segment opens completely. Want to hammer repeats or explore at recovery pace? The forest holds dozens of paths. Radical inclusivity sits at the crew's core. Whether you're thinking about trail running for the first time or training for Alpine ultras, you're welcome. This approach creates something unusual: beginners and experienced athletes finding training partners who genuinely understand the difference between easy miles and tempo efforts on elevation.
