Where Local Sport Builds Local Legends
Once upon a time, some slightly crazy legends from the Tri Club decided triathlon should be for everyone — not just elite athletes, but everyday people who wanted to move, laugh and be part of something bigger. Add in costumes, teams of mates and a cause worth supporting… and the Community Teams Triathlon was born.
Over the years this event has grown into one of the Fraser Coast’s most feel-good community sporting events, raising over $45,000 for Cancer Council and supporting local community organisations.
In 2026, the Hervey Bay Triathlon Club is joining forces with the Fraser Coast Swim Club, with funds helping cover training and racing costs for junior athletes — supporting the next generation of local sporting talent.

The teams format means you can race hard, jog happy, walk proud or cheer loud. Enter with friends, family, workmates or sporting mates — all abilities welcome.
