- Founded in June 2025 by a close-knit group of locals and longtime residents, Lhon Runner is a small but lively running crew that brings joy and connection to Chiang Mai’s historic streets. Named after the Northern Thai word for “run,” the crew upholds a relaxed, noncompetitive spirit in which movement is seen as a communal act rather than a race. Their weekly runs—from loops around the old city moat to trail explorations and “run to the bar” sessions—blend local culture, music, and friendly camaraderie, welcoming runners of all ages and skill levels. Beyond exercise, Lhon Runner fosters friendship and presence, inviting newcomers and seasoned runners alike to share laughter and stories amid the city’s temples, coffee shops, and vibrant neighborhoods.
