    • PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED AND POLICE ARE STATIONED

    • DO NOT RACE ON THE SIDEWALK, RUN THROUGH PRIVATE PROPERTY, OR RUN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IN MOST CASES YOU SHOULD BE RACING WITH TRAFFIC. (FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE COURSE IS MARKED WITH ARROWS & CONES SO RUNNERS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF WILMINGTON AND CHRISTIAN STREETS, THEN NO RUNNER SHOULD BE ON THE LEFT SIDE FACING TRAFFIC). ALSO, WHEN THE RACE IS DIRECTED AROUND A CONE OR CONES, FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN CUTTING THE COURSE.

    • FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER. RACE DIRECTOR TIM-SS

    SEASHORE STRIDER GUIDELINES:

    • THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ALLOWED IN A SEASHORE STRIDER EVENT...THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PARTICIPANTS...RD TIM-SS
    • BIKES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE ON THE COURSE RIDING ALONG/PACING ANY REGISTERED RUNNER

    • BANDITS (NON REGISTERED) RUNNERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE IN THE RACE RUNNING ALONG/PACING ANY REGISTERED RUNNER

    • HEADPHONES/EAR PODS ARE DISCOURAGED WEARING IN BOTH EARS DUE TO SAFETY OF HEARING TRAFFIC

    COURSE SAFETY.

o THIS IS A TOUGH RULE TO ENFORCE AS 85% OF RUNNERS IN RACES LISTEN TO MUSIC AND THE RRCA RECOGNIZED THAT AND MOVED THE ENFORCEMENT FROM A DISQUALIFICATION TO MAKING IT THE RACE DIRECTORS DECISION. MOST RACE DIRECTORS IN THE COUNTRY EITHER IGNORE THE ISSUE OR TRY TO WORK WITH THE RUNNERS. MY STAND AS A RACE DIRECTOR IS TO ASK YOU TO NOT WEAR THEM AND IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST THEN ONLY WEAR THEM IN ONE EAR AND AT A LOW VOLUME LEVEL.

    RACE TIMING:

    • Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

    • 13:44 per mile pace cut off time which is a 3 hour half-marathon.

    • At the 11:15 am start to the Awards Ceremony, there still may be folks on the course as the cutoff is 3:00:00 or an average of 13:44 min/per mileHere are your splits to remain on pace to finish under the cut-off.

    1m- 13:44

    2m- 27:28

    3m- 41:12

    4m- 54:56

    5m- 1:08:40

    6m- 1:22:24

    7m- 1:36:08

    8m- 1:49:52

    9m- 2:03:36

    10m- 2:17:20

    11m- 2:31:04

    12m- 2:44:48

    13m- 2:58:32

We only pay to keep agencies (Police/Fire/Medic/Rangers) for so long and for your safety you must remain under the cutoff pace of a 13:44 min per mile which we feel is very reasonable for a half-marathon runner. Please know that this is not a "walk only" event.

New name, but same great company!!! We can't wait to show you how we've grown!

Formerly known as the Osprey Triathlon, the Back Bay Triathlon takes place at the Public Landing, located at the end of Public Landing Road, just outside of beautiful Snow HIll, Maryland.

The .5 mile swim, 15.5 mile bike and 3.1 mile course is a FLAT and fast course! The day starts off with a short walk to the beach, where the in water start will have you swimming right back for the pavilion and your transition area. The long straight at the beginning of the bike course will let you get your distance from your competitors and the out-and-back run will ensure that you can see all of your friends out on course!

Don't want to swim? Try our DUathlon option, with a 1 mile run, 15.5 mile bike, and finish up with the 3.1 mile run course.

Finish up with food and fun at the Public Landing parking lot and relax!! The beach and pavilion area are open for use after the event, so make a day of it!

Start time is at 8am and packet pickup will be on race day, starting at 6:30am!
