    Kepak Running Club

In Sarawak slang, "kepak" means tired, and the runners gathering outside the Sarawak State Library at 5 PM know exactly what that feels like. Kepak Running Club started in August 2025 when Hidayat, the captain, needed accountability. One runner's personal struggle became a movement, and within months around 50 runners had found their home base at the library steps. The founders created something deliberately accessible: no membership fees, no barriers, just runners willing to show up. Every Tuesday at 5 PM, the Pustaka Run draws the crew for social efforts and tempo work. Sunday mornings at 6 AM bring longer distances outside Jalan Masjid Health Clinic, timed with Kuching's Car Free Morning. Thursdays at Sarawak Stadium mean speed work and track intervals. What ties it together is consistency, discipline, and the belief that showing up for yourself means showing up for your team. Kepak's tagline says it all: "Run now, tired later."
