The Long and Short courses have a few modifications this year to improve safety
The DRvG offers three distances, each starting and finishing inside Upland Hills Farm and each delivering its own flavor of Michigan gravel. The Mini 13-mile p/b Donato Landscape course is the perfect introduction, packing 897 feet of climbing into a fast, punchy loop of 99% gravel that climbs Barr Road, rolls through the Grampian highlands, and tops out on the Drahner Road ascent — the highest point in Oakland County at 1,250 ft — before diving into Bald Mountain North singletrack and finishing on the rugged Upland Hills two-track. The Short 32-mile p/b Erskin Law course raises the stakes with 2,021 feet of climbing, extending the journey deeper into the northern gravel where the rollers stack up and the views open wide along Lake George, all before the same chaotic singletrack and the decisive, sandy, hilly Upland Hills access road. And then there’s the Long 52-mile p/b Gould Contracting, LLC course — the full DRvG challenge — delivering 3,123 feet of climbing across endless rollers,
remote stretches of Oakland and Lapeer County gravel, and the kind of accumulated fatigue that makes every climb sting. By the time riders hit the Bald Mountain North singletrack and the brutal final two-track, only the strongest legs (and the sharpest handling) will tame the Long Course. Three distances, one spirit: classic Michigan gravel, escalating difficulty, and a finish that makes every rider earn it.
With your registration fee, we will provide marked routes, swag, .gpx files, timing provided by Epic Race Timing, and food will be available for purchase provided by Dos Locos burritos. We also plan to have on-site bike mechanical support, DEMOs, and swag.
*This race uses Upland Hills private land only accessible during the event August 1, 2026 - NO EXCEPTIONS. You cannot pre-ride the upland hills section of the course. Violators will be reported to the local authorities for trespassing.

Lake Orion to Seven Lakes Overnight Adventure
[LOAB collage.png]
Looking for an overnighter close to home? We’ve got you covered. Along with Lake Orion Bike & Adventure, we’ve designed the perfect intro to bikepacking – low stress, high reward, and plenty of support along the way.
Saturday, we’ll meet at the shop and roll out on a mix of trails and quiet back roads en route to Seven Lakes State Park. With over 230 acres of water, it’s the perfect setting to unwind, whether that means paddling, swimming, fishing, or just kicking back by the shoreline.
Along the way we’ll stop at Cook’s Farm Dairy to get ice cream, see the cows, pet a calf, and then onward to camp
We’ll take care of dinner with a camp cookout, followed by a classic campfire, and a few sweet treats to round out the night.
Sunday starts slow and easy with fresh coffee and light snacks. Once we roll out we’ll drop by Crust Coffee and Bakery in Fenton. And later visit downtown Clarkston for some famous mac and cheese from the Union. Then it’s an easy ride along the safety pathway from Clarkston to Lake Orion.
It’s the perfect way to make your first (or next) bikepacking trip a great one.
