    Run For It

In late 2020, when communities were searching for new ways to connect, Cam Marsh and friends founded Run For It with a philosophy that feels almost antiquated: service above self. Every Sunday at 07:00, roughly 100-200 runners, walkers, and wheelchair users gather at rotating Brisbane locations to run, walk, or roll together. The crew raises funds and awareness for lesser-known local charities, stripping away complexity with no membership fees, just ask participants to donate what they can or buy merch with profits going straight to charity. Everyone belongs regardless of ability; pace groups ensure no one gets left behind. Parents push prams, first-time runners stand alongside seasoned ones, dog owners bring their fur babies. The post-run coffee and conversation cement friendships forged through shared purpose. By rotating meeting points across West End, Mount Coot-tha, New Farm, and beyond, Run For It ensures different neighborhoods experience the positive energy of collective service. Six years of consistent Sunday gatherings have proven that community service creates stronger bonds than personal records ever could.
