The 12-hour and 24-hour night swimming challenge:

Join us for an unmissable swimming experience. 1km per hour, on the hour… through the night! Enter as an individual or a team of 2 to 4. Take on the night and swim through from sundown to sunrise. The Swim The Night 12-hour event will be hosted at Hampton Pool 7pm to 7am. ENTER today.

Event details and schedule

Marathon Swims is London's marathon of swimming. The event returns to the iconic London Aquatic Centre, on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Sunday 1 November 2026. The pool was the home of swimming during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

A Marathon Swim is a 10k challenge. The distance debuted at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, as an open water event. Marathon Swims redefines the challenge with an indoor, pool-based 10k Marathon Swim, 5k Half Marathon and a 1k Challenge distance swims. A team 10k is also available for teams of two swimmers.

Event details and schedule

The Marathon Swims London event is Sunday 1 November 2026 at London Aquatics Centre, on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Times of the sessions and individual official start times will be published closer to the event.

Please make sure you arrive at least 60 minutes before your official start time to ensure you have enough time to collect elements and prepare yourself. Parking is limited and best to consult the London Aquatics website for more information. Arrival by public transport is recommended.

All participants will need appropriate swimwear, goggles, swim cap, water bottles (filled) and any nutrition/energy required for the event.
