WHAT? The Cal 100 Fun Run is a community event challenging participants to see how far they can run in 100 minutes, with team categories for all ages 5 years and above, and a solo option for adults. Proudly delivered by the Caloundra State School P&C Association, supported by bronze sponsors Pacific Ford Caloundra, Helping Hands, and The Sports Hub Sunshine Coast (gold and silver sponsorship opportunities still available), and supported by a range of local organisations. The event includes the 100min fun run, Beat the Croc novelty race, food stalls, coffee, raffle, and merchandise sales!
WHY? The Cal 100 Fun Run builds community spirit while supporting our school’s long-running Cal 100km Club, where students aim to run 100km each year. The Club promotes fun, fitness, friendship and healthy habits, helping students stay active and ready to learn. Funds raised will support student participation and distance milestone awards (certificates, medals and trophies), and discounted running shirts that foster pride, belonging and school spirit.
WHEN? Sunday 13 September 2026; Gates open: 7:00; Run start: 8:00am; Run finish: 9:40am; Beat the Croc followed by presentations: 10:00am; Event concludes: 10:30am - 11am.
WHERE? The event will take place at the Lower Fields of Caloundra State School, bordered by George, Queen, and Ulm Streets. Participants will run a 1km circuit, featuring a designated changeover zone for team baton exchanges. Each team can bring one tent or marquee (3m x 3m or 3m x 6m) to set up in a designated space to enjoy shade and rest between running on the circuit!
