Kawan Baru Running Club Group

Description:
Founded in December 2018 by Abang Joef in South Tangerang, Indonesia, Kawan Baru Running Club has recently revived itself in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, embracing its name, which means “new friend,” through fresh connections and shared experiences. Now a vibrant community of about 200 runners, the club centers on openness, honesty, and togetherness, welcoming all regardless of pace or ability. Their motto, RUN | LAUGH | IMPACT, reflects a commitment to joyful running combined with social and environmental engagement. With regular moderate-paced long runs of 15 to 21 kilometers, members explore Lombok’s diverse landscapes—from coastal paths to mountainous trails—often through affiliated groups like the Mountain Goat Club. Anchored at Blaufabrika Cafe, Kawan Baru fosters a welcoming atmosphere where every run builds friendships and supports local causes, actively contributing to Lombok’s growing running scene and its vibrant, inclusive culture.
