A New Name for Bucks County's Original Gravel Ride Bucks Gravel (formerly the Fools Classic) is Kermesse Sport’s (& Bucks County’s) original Mixed Surface Ride, and is one of the oldest spring classic themed/gravel rides in the US. How does it differ? * Different Name * Different Season * Different Start/Finish Venue * Most of the Same Great Roads! Despite being founded long prior to the Revolutionary War, Bucks County doesn’t have much in terms of cobblestone roads, but due to its rural nature, there are many unpaved roads of dirt and gravel. Glaciers carved out what is now the Delaware River, yielding some steep hills leading out of the river valley. While the route has varied, the concept is constant; ride a circuit of roads less traveled past picturesque farms, pre-revolutionary stone houses, and take in as many of the local unsealed roads as practical. The course is always very challenging and has quite a few technical sections. The unpaved sections are all public roads or trails. They

are suited for road bikes with road tires, though the organizers recommend that you leave the lightweight stuff at home, and highly suggest that tires 28mm or wider will make your ride more enjoyable. * The ride is fully supported: + Aid Stations: 3 on the Long Route, 2 on the Medium, 1 on the Short & 1 on the family ride + SAG Support * The course is not marked (but we will provide GPS Files and complimentary access to the RideWithGPS App on ride day) * Post Ride Food & Drink with Beer courtesy of 18th Ward Brewing * The provisional routes are (according to Ride With GPS) + The Long Course is 81 miles long with 6900' of climbing and has >23 miles of unpaved roads (29%) + The Medium Course is 57 miles long with 5000' of climbing and has 20 miles of unpaved roads (35%) + The Short Course is 34 miles long with 3000' of climbing and 12.5 miles of unpaved roads (37%) + The Family Ride is up to 21 miles long and is mostly flat on an unpaved towpath Cyclocross/Gravel bikes are welcome, but

certainly not required, as most of the ride is on paved roads. Time Trial & Triathlon bikes are not suitable for this course and are prohibited. The courses are very challenging and have several very technical sections, thus it is only suitable for experienced cyclists with a good levels of fitness and bike handling skills. Interested in Camping on the Course? Beaver Valley Campgrounds is located at Mile 20 of the Short, Medium & Long Course and serves as Aid Station 1. It’s a 10 minute drive to the start/finish, making it an ideal location to camp for the event. 80 Clay Ridge Rd. Ottsville, PA 18942 For Reservations, call (610) 847-5643 [email protected] The event has multiple Charity partners including Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Tinicum Conservancy, and the PA Chapter of NICA, who each will receive contributions from the event. Rules & Conditions of Entry * All entries are final; no refunds. Entries are not transferable. Please

don't ask. * The event will be held rain or shine. Normal amounts of rain will not cancel the event. * However, in the event of Extreme Weather (such as impassable roads, named storms, or Official Weather Warning), other emergency, or situation beyond the organizers’ control, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the event or reschedule it. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, a refund will not be issued. * Should the event be cancelled for reasons of force majeure, entry fees will not be refunded. * In consideration for entering the event, all participants must sign the waiver/liability release during the registration process. In addition to the participant, parents/legal guardians must also sign the waiver for minors. * All participants must check in on-site prior to the ride * The Ride Start Windows are + Long Course: from 8:00AM – 8:30AM + Medium Course: from 8:30AM – 9:00AM + Short Course: from 9:00AM - 9:30AM + Family Ride: from 9:30 - 9:45AM * There is no dedicated
