    When Manuel arrived in Madrid from Venezuela, he found a city full of runners but no real community. Under the trees of El Retiro Park, he built what was missing: a crew that treats running as an excuse for connection. Retiro Running gathers beneath the Puerta de la Independencia three times weekly, welcoming all paces and backgrounds. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays. No pace charts, no hierarchy. Meet&Chill events and weather challenges blur the line between running and culture, turning strangers into regulars and one park into a living map of the world. Since 2021, this crew has proven that the best runs happen when you stop rushing and start listening.
