welcome to
WomDomNom
"WomDomNom" is a fully supported organised four day 155km paddle starting from Wellington on Thursday 26 November 2026. It travels through Dubbo and onto Narromine over 4 days.
It is designed to be a recreational paddle, with an emphasis to encourage paddling on the Macquarie River. It is a fully supported paddle, with your camping equipment transported between camping spots. All meals and soft drinks are provided over the 4 days, and you will be on the water for roughly 6 hours per day.
This event is recommended for experienced kayakers. It involves long distances and river hazards and pre event training is advised. This event is not recommended for beginners, as basic paddle skills are essential and fitness and stamina are required. Must be able paddle at a speed of 6km per hour.
Why "WomDomNom"? It stands for Wellington on Macquarie (Wom), Dubbo on Macquarie (Dom), Narromine on Macquarie (Nom)!
The paddle costs are $90 per day, so $360 for the four (4) days.
On day 1, Thursday 26 November 2026, the paddlers will travel 38km before stopping for the day at Bril Bral reserve, where everyone will camp for the evening.
On day 2, Friday 27 November 2026, the paddlers will travel either 34km or 43km to our overnight campsite in the Dubbo area (location to be determined).
Day 3, Saturday 28 November 2026, the paddlers will travel 45km from Dubbo to our overnight campsite at Dickygundi Reserve.
On day 4, Sunday 29 November 2026, the paddlers will paddle 36km to Narromine, where the paddle will conclude.
The 2026 "WomDomNom" will again support the great work the "Black Dog Institute" does to help people suffering depression, Bipolar and other mental illnesses.
