Whether you are a competitive runner or looking for an exhilarating & social activity to share with family and friends, register today for the legendary Corona del Mar Scenic 5K! Burn those calories while enjoying the pristine ocean view streets of our village by the sea. Whether running the 5K course, participating in the 2-mile FUN Walk, or simply cheering the kids on in the Youth and Dolphin Dash series, all registered participants will enjoy a race t-shirt, race bib, and a hosted restaurant row of local eateries. The Pacific Coast Triathlon invites athletes of all ages and abilities — from first-timers to seasoned competitors — to experience one of Southern California’s most scenic and celebrated races at the stunning Crystal Cove State Beach.
Start your day with a refreshing open-water swim in the Pacific Ocean right at Crystal Cove State Beach. Full lifeguard support and typically comfortable wave conditions make this leg welcoming for every level. Choose the Sprint (½ mile / ~750 m) or Olympic (1,500 m).
Next, tackle the bike on a fully closed, rolling course along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway. Enjoy sweeping ocean views as you ride two loops for the Sprint (12 miles) or four loops for the Olympic (40K / ~24.8 miles).
The run winds along the gorgeous Crystal Cove Trail and paths, with panoramic ocean views on one side and Pacific Coast Highway on the other. You’ll pass through the historic beach cottages, and — when tides allow — enjoy a memorable stretch right along the sand before climbing back up for an unforgettable oceanfront finish. Sprint runners cover 3 miles; Olympic athletes run 6.2 miles (10K), with aid stations every mile.
Additional race options include Sprint & Olympic Duathlon, Aquabike, Relay teams (male, female, or co-ed), and a 5K Beach and Trail Run.
This USAT-sanctioned event is part of the popular OC Tri Series and proudly supports local non-profits. Every finisher receives a custom medal (plus official race shirt and other great swag). Expect a festive beachside atmosphere with post-race food, awards ceremony, vendor village, and plenty of cheering spectators.

Just a walk in the park again - for the 4th year in a row! Our annual Superheroes Triumph 5K! is fighting crime in the OC again this year. This run, walk, and roll is taking over Mason Regional Park located at 18712 University Drive, Irvine, CA 92612 on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Are you ready?
No matter what your ability is, you are a hero to us. This 5K will “pack a punch” in fun and ease with a fast, gentle rolling course.
Runner perks include a finisher’s medal, race bib, chip timed course, pre and post race snacks, and of course - no superhero is complete without a cape!
Prizes will be awarded to our first place finishers in each category - Top Male, Top Female, Fastest Para Athlete, and Fastest Quad Athlete! Additional prizes for costume contest contestants! Join the fun.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Best Costume Contest: Dress up like your favorite Superhero and you can be chosen as the BEST dressed caped crusader.
The CHALLENGE: to our friends with SCI that are ambulatory, YOU are challenged to walk as far as you are super-humanly able, whether it's five steps or the full 5K! Set your personal goal for the day. You can walk a portion, and/or roll a portion. We just want to see you walk across the finish line!
100% of the proceeds benefit Triumph Foundation and our mission to help people triumph over paralysis.
ONSITE REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE THE MORNING OF THE EVENT!
ABOUT TRIUMPH FOUNDATION: Triumph Foundation exists to help children, adults, and Veterans to triumph over Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders. Our goal is to help people maximize their recovery from life altering accidents and disorders. We find solutions for people to increase independence, improve self-efficacy, and reintegrate back into the community.
Event details and schedule
PARKING: There will be ample parking thorughout the park closest to the race festivities on asphalt and is accessible. There is a $5 fee to park inside the park with very limited parking on the streets within close proximity to the event festivities.
RESTROOMS: There is a restroom building located near the start & finish line as well as ample facilities on the course and throughout the park.
