A-City Run Club
On September 26, 2025, a group of friends in Aizawl made a choice that would reshape their city. A-City Run Club was not founded on pace charts or race goals. It was built on a single conviction: that running together could offer young people an alternative path away from drug abuse and toward community. Asomi, the crew's team lead, helped shape what is now around 1,200 members strong in less than a year. Bi-weekly Saturday morning runs at 06:30 gather at shifting meeting points across Aizawl's hills, welcoming every pace. The post-run ritual matters as much as the kilometres: coffee stops at partner cafés, themed events, giveaways, local businesses that open early to meet sweaty runners at the door. Membership is free, by design. For a crew tasked with reaching young people who might otherwise be at risk, a barrier to entry would have been a contradiction. A-City Run Club removes it entirely, building something rooted in Aizawl's geography and genuine about what community means.
