Nestled in the backwoods of Spokane and a mere 45 minutes from the Spokane Airport, lays the greatest Obstacle Course Race in the Spokane area! Located on the grounds and woods of Riverside High School, the Second Annual Ultimate Ram OCR Challenge will push you to your limits through the 5 mile, 30+ obstacle course:
Both Competitive and Non-competitive spots available. PRIZE MONEY FOR THE TOP 3 MEN AND WOMEN overall in the competitive division as well Age group prizes in the competitive division.
This is not just for athletes! Everybody is welcome to try the challenge! The competitive is for the athletes wanting the extra challenge. The open division is welcome to everyone, where you can help your friends through the obstacles and experience an event like no other!
Every Finisher will get a Medal! Custom made shirts are available to any finisher for only $10
Ages 14 and up are welcome on the main course!
The course will contain obstacles that challenge the full body including Carries, Grip Strength, Body Coordination, Mental sharpness, physical strength and more!

Join us for the inaugural running of the Columbia River Half Iron with a 1.2-mile swim in the Columbia River starting in knee deep water at the Vantage Boat launch, followed by a slightly hilly
56-mile bike out and back toward Ellensburg, and topping it off with a 13.1-mile jaunt down to the Wanapum Reservoir Dam. All registrants get a custom deluxe windbreaker. All finishers get that coveted Columbia River Half Iron Medal. There will be water, Gatorade, gel, first aid every 3 miles on the course. Certified lifeguards with AEDs in the water. Follow all directions of course official. Mandatory pre-race briefing live stream on June 11, 2026, 7 pm PST. Optional pre-race buffet/packet pick up at 4 pm on June 13, 2026, at the race site. You may rack bike starting at 6 am on Race Day June 14, 2026 - registration will be open. All participants must be USAT members (1-day membership is available). 911 in case of emergency. Race director for pick up (flat tire, sprained ankle) we will send swag
vehicle.
Event details and schedule
There are plenty of parking spaces at the Vantage Resort. All participants must wear ankle bracelets for the duration of the event and Bib on front torso for the duration of the run and bike. 10-minute penalty if it is not visible. All bike handles must be plugged. Wet suites will be allowed up to 85F water temperature and mandatory if 55F and below per USAT regulations. All participants are responsible to know the course. Course maps are posted on our webpage and there will be orange route arrows in the road, and elevated signs. Must have helmet and bike label to exit the secured coral area. No floatation devices are allowed in the water.
