COSTUME CONTEST
At the heart of the "Day of the Dead Half Marathon: Texas Parks Edition" is an exciting costume contest that invites runners to fully embrace the spirit of Dia de los Muertos. Before the race kicks off, participants gather at the starting area, showcasing their most creative and vibrant costumes. From intricately painted calavera faces to elaborate skeletal attire, the costumes transform the park into a colorful celebration of life and memory. A panel of judges evaluates the costumes based on creativity, authenticity, and overall impact. The winner is awarded the coveted "Day of the Dead Best Costume Award," along with a special prize package, right before the race begins. This pre-race contest adds an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie, encouraging participants to run in style and celebrate in true Day of the Dead fashion from the very start.

1 Mile - Our 1 mile race is designed for all ages and experience levels. This event is not chipped timed and includes a tee shirt and race medal.
5K - Our 5K race will take you 3.11 miles through the course. This event is chip timed and features 1st overall trophy's for male and female finishers, special recognition pins for 1st place male and female master's category as well as our standard age group awards.

Harbor Half—growing from just 200 runners to drawing over 1,000 participants annually, along with 150+ dedicated volunteers who ensure a seamless experience. On November 7, 2026 the Harbor Half Marathon will make history by featuring a route over the newly completed Harbor Bridge in Corpus Christi. As the tallest structure in South Texas and the longest cable-stayed bridge in the United States, this architectural marvel offers unparalleled visibility for sponsors. Runners from across Texas and beyond will be drawn to the breathtaking coastal course, which winds through two counties.

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Citizens Medical Center will host the10th Annual Citizens Run Against Cancer Half-Marathon and 5K in Victoria, Texas! All proceeds from this event benefit local patients who are battling cancer.
As the proud home of the Kathryn O’Connor Regional Cancer Center, Citizens Medical Center cares for a large population of the region’s cancer patients with a comprehensive cancer program, expert physicians, a compassionate, knowledgeable staff, and advanced screening and treatment technology.
Since its inception in 2017, more than $150,000 has been raised to benefit local cancer patients through the Citizens Run Against Cancer. By registering for and/or sponsoring this event, you are truly making a difference in the lives of local cancer patients.
Audience:
The race route was designed to showcase the heart of Victoria, starting in Downtown Victoria, through Riverside Park, and ending at DeLeon Plaza. Visitors are encouraged to stay the weekend and explore all that Victoria has to offer, including camping, fishing, kayaking, shopping, and historical sightseeing. With more than 1,500 participants, volunteers, and spectators, you don’t want to miss out on being a part of this inspiring event, while also supporting a worthy cause.

The San Antonio River Authority, together with the San Antonio River Foundation, welcomes you to the Race the River Paddle Series! Canoe and kayakers of all skill levels are invited to participate at each adventure race throughout the San Antonio River Basin.
The SASPAMCO Race is the second race of the series. This 12-mile pro race, or 6-mile amateur race, takes you through a more remote stretch of the San Antonio River along the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail.
