From big races to Saturday morning group runs—find gravel events and connect with the local endurance sports community.
We're going back to Leesville, TX for some night gravel riding fun with our hosts at the Leesville Cemetery Association. This event will use parts of the very popular ‘Come And Grind It’ daytime gravel event, but this time we're running it reversed. Riders have your choice of 21, 33, or 45 miles of mostly gravel routes with a few quiet paved roads mixed in. The 21 and 45 milers are 75+% gravel, and the 33 miler is 95% gravel, with low amounts of elevation on winding roads.
We'll have cold drinks and snacks waiting for you at the finish line party. This event is close to San Antonio, Austin, and an easy drive from everywhere else. Any bike with at least 1.25+" wide tires like a hybrid, Mtb, or cyclocross/gravel bike is perfect. Choose the right distance for your abilities to be back to the finish line party within 4hrs to enjoy drinks and company with everyone. Camping is available for free onsite at the Leesville Cemetery Association.
The event starts about 1 hour before sunset, and gives riders almost 1.5hrs of riding before dark. All riders must have a front headlight, and a rear blinking tail light. For best results, set the front headlight of about 800-900 lumens to medium or low setting for at least 2 hours use.
When you return to Leesville, we'll have music, cold drinks and snacks waiting for you at the finish line party!
All registered participants will receive an info email first thing Saturday morning of the event, and as always you can find all of our event routes on our website www.capitalcityracingtexas.com
