    2026 Rodeo Run, presented by ConocoPhillips

    Run for a cause! Proceeds from the event benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. Rodeo Run will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026.

    • Support a good cause, and donate to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, supporting education right here in Texas!

    • Donors will be eligible for tiered tokens of appreciation.

    • All donations made through the Rodeo Run registration/website support the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

    Early bird registration ends Monday, Jan. 12 at 11:59 p.m.

    Packet Pickup:

    • Participants can choose between packet pickup onsite or mail out (for an additional fee).

    Post Race Party

    • Participants and supporters are invited to Eleanor Tinsley Park after the race for a fun celebration of the morning's race, supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

    The 49th Annual Bayou City Classic 10K and 5k Fun Run

    March 7, 2026

    The 49th running of the Bayou City Classic 10K, Texas' oldest 10K race, will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 8AM (Hand-Cycle/Pushrim start is 7:50AM). The 5K Fun Run/Walk will start at 8:20AM (Hand-Cycle/Pushrim start is 8:15AM).

    The event takes place in the heart of downtown Houston (Hermann Square adjacent to City Hall). This is a family-friendly, all-inclusive event. We invite EVERYONE to participate. Wheelchair/Pushrim participants are welcomed and encouraged. Full race details at www.bayoucityclassic.org.

    • Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Texas State 10K Championship!

    Proceeds from the Bayou City Classic are donated to the Houston Parks & Recreation Department to improve our city parks and preserve our trees. This non-profit event is organized by the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA), an all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote running as a competitive sport and a healthful exercise. The race has donated over $250,000 for the Parks over the previous eight years!

    RACE DETAILS:

    Race day, Saturday, March 7th, at Hermann Square by City Hall.

    • 10K Start:
    • 7:50AM: Handcycle/Pushrim Division

    • 8:00AM: Run/Walk 10K

    • 5K Start:
    • 8:15 AM: Handcycle/Pushrim Division

    • 8:20AM: Run/Walk 5K

    10K/5K Fees

    • Early Bird (to 8/31/25) $35 (Lowest Price - no additional discounts)

    • Early (9/1/25 to 1/12/26): $45

    • Regular (1/13/26 - 3/6/26 ): $50

    • Race Morning: $55. Must be registered by 7:30 AM to be eligible for awards.

    HARRA Members receive a discount except on low Early Bird price. Enter the code (from the HARRA weekly email) when you are checking out to redeem the discount.You may join/renew HARRA here.

    Race Day Registration: Open till 7:15AM, but you must sign up online and pay by credit card before you request your bib. We will have a QR code to scan with your cell phone for fast signup. ABSOLUTELY NO IN-PERSON PAPER REGISTRATION FORMS ACCEPTED AND NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN.

    NO SWITCHING EVENTS ON RACE DAY!!

    Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

    Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

    Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

    Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

    Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):
