Join us for the 8th annual Longest Day 5k/10k and by special request we are keeping the .5k Beer run and .5k kids run. We are excited to continue doing this again and again and hope you are too.

now we would hope the Beard vs Beans name is known, and if not, here's a little bit about us!
Sibling rivalry is something that everyone with a brother or sister is familiar with. My younger brother (Matthew aka Beard) and I (Miguel aka Beans) definitely know a thing or two about it. Together, we decided to put our competitive efforts toward a cause that we both personally believe in. We compete to see which brother can raise the most money in donations for the Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio and South Texas. Loser faces a punishment. In our continued efforts to help ENDALZ we bring you The Longest Day 5k/10k with Beard vs Beans.
All 5k/10k finishers will receive medals and a pretty amazing shirt. The participants who want to do the .5k Beer Run will receive a beer mug and the winner will receive an award. You can chose to do the 0.5k Beer Run post 5k/10k and get all the swag. The Kids .5k will receive a medal and shirt. Come join us and have a great time with our sponsors. As always. ALL proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer Association of San Antonio and South Texas.
Dont forget to create your team! The team with the most registered participants will earn a team flag. Deadline for this to happen will be June 1st 2026!

more than a race. It’s a powerful chance to connect with friends, allies, and community, all while supporting vital local LGBTQIA+ non-profits.
This event is for everyone. Whether you’re a serious runner aiming for a new personal best or you just want to take a leisurely stroll with friends, all paces are welcome. Not feeling the run or walk? You can still show up for our community by volunteering!
Bring your energy, your friends, and your best Pride outfit. Let’s make this year’s 5K a powerful statement and show San Antonio what 'y'all means all' truly looks like.
2026 LOCAL SAN ANTONIO LGTBQIA+ NON PROFIT : PRIDE CENTER SAN ANTONIO -The Pride Center San Antonio serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and HIV communities in the San Antonio area. Its mission is to connect community members and their families to vital resources and organizations for health, wellness, support, education, activities, and advocacy. Ultimately, the center aims to create a future where LGBTQ+ people and their families can thrive in a community of belonging, safety, and dignity.
Every step we take together, we're building a stronger, more supportive San Antonio. So far, this event has helped raise over $16,730 for local LGBTQIA+ nonprofits, and that number is all thanks to people like you.
Whether you run, walk, or just come to be part of the energy, your presence makes a difference. Let’s make this year's race the most impactful one yet.

Location: Lady Bird Johnson Park - 10700 Nacogdoches Rd.
San Antonio, TX 78217 (lots of shade on the route)
Race Start Time: 8:00am cst: Race is in mid June-it will be hot, please ensure to hydrate and listen to your body. There will be one water stop at the turnaround (1.5 miles) on the course CARRYING ON COURSE WATER IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. HIGHLY SUGGEST NO strollers as this is an out and back course and NO DOGS due to heat.
Parking: There's plenty of parking; however, please carpool if you can, as the additional lots are a little distance from the start line.

In the event you encounter them, we kindly ask that you do not engage with them. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. We will have dedicated volunteers from Veterans of Equality on site who are trained and prepared to ensure everyone's safety and minimize any potential disturbance, allowing us all to focus on celebrating diversity and community.

We invite you to join us for the 3rd AnnualTexas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k
Three great options: Want a challenge? Run the Half Marathon. Want to get a
team together to relay? Grab your friends, find your team shirts or costumes! You can also run the 5K solo. Participants receive a Texas finisher medal, an awesome Texas theme shirt and delicious Texas barbecue food post race.
TIME LIMIT FOR THE HALF MARATHON IS 4 HOURS.
