Join us for our first Run with Purpose (walk/run) 5K hosted by Gum Springs Baptist Church, as we come together to support our Youth Camp ministry, that is soon approaching its 5th year.
Inspired by Hebrews 12:1-2, this event is about more than miles- it’s about running the race that is set before us. This race reflects our desire to run with purpose and faithfully complete the task God has given us. All proceeds from this event will directly support youth camp expenses.
From the very first year, GSBC Youth Camp has been free. This has been made possible through the generosity of anonymous donors. Their faithful support has allowed finances to never be a barrier for a child to experience camp. By His grace, our camp continues to grow and this year to support that growth we are hosting a fundraising 5K. Our hope with Run with Purpose 5K is that we will continue the mission of raising funds that directly cover the real, practical costs to give a meaningful and safe camp experience for the youth. For many children, this youth camp is more than just a couple of days away from home- it’s a place where walls come down, friendships are formed, and faith blooms.
This family-friendly 5K is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re racing for a personal best or walking with family and friends, your participation helps to invest in the next generation of believers.
Join us for a morning of fellowship, encouragement, and purpose as we run together for something greater.

This year, the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee will have TWO Basecamps! For the first half of the week(September 11-14), we will be calling David Crockett State Park home. For the second half of the week (September 15-17), we will be calling Cedars of Lebanon State Park our base camp!

Each day, riders will have multiple routes to choose from depending on their goals for the day. You can expect to see routes ranging from 25 to 100 miles throughout the week. All routes will be supported by our Tennessee Park Rangers and volunteers. Being supported by us means you can expect fully stocked SAG stops every 15-20 miles which include water, Gatorade, fresh fruit, nutritious snacks, bathrooms, and friendly faces along the way. Rangers will be running the routes with their blue lights on to alert motorists of your presence, and our awesome mechanic is never too far away in case you have a bike mishap.
Once you return to Basecamp each day, you will have a variety of activities to participate in, including Ranger-led programs, yoga, evening music, and tastings. Both breakfast and dinner will be provided from Saturday to Wednesday, and breakfast on the final day, Thursday.
Choose to join us for the full 6-day ride, the first 3 days, the last 3 days, the weekend, or a single day! Explore our various registration options to find the one that best suits your schedule and riding style.
Do you have a “non-rider” you would like to bring to the BRAT? No worries, we have a non-rider registration option that allows them to enjoy the afternoon and evening activities, meals, and daily excursions. Excursions will take place during the day while riders are out on the route.
All the proceeds from the ride will support the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail, the Tennessee Park Rangers Association, David Crockett State Park, Cedars of Lebanon State Park, and The Friends of the Cumberland Trail.
