Haunted Half & Sinister Six For years, we’ve talked about putting together a haunted night run—something weird, wild, and absolutely drenched in Halloween spirit—and this year, we finally said: let’s make it happen.Get ready for a fright-filled night of running as we transform our 1.1-mile loop into a haunted trail of screams and things that definitely weren’t there before. We’re decking out the mile in all things spooky and scary—creepy sounds, eerie lights, and maybe some unexpected visitors—so you can enjoy a night of Halloween mayhem, trail-style. Costumes are encouraged and possibly required.... Sanity is optional.Trick-or-treat stations await you each lap. Yes, actual candy. And yes, some of the treats bite back. The “Treat” side? Candy and who knows what else. The “Trick” side? A twist for your next lap. Maybe you’ll have to zombie-shuffle a lap. Maybe you’ll carry a pumpkin. Maybe you’ll scream every time you pass a tree. We’re not telling you what’s in the bag—but i
t’s cursed, and it’s happening. For Trick you’ll draw from our Bag of Tricks each time around, and whatever you get, you do. This is not a PR kind of race. This is a “laugh-while-you-suffer” kind of fun run.Coyotes have been seen in the area. So has a guy named Randy. Don’t worry. They’re both mostly harmless if you don’t look like a snack. Come run, scream, and repeat. We’ll see you at the starting line—assuming you make it there. Weather & Rescheduling THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!If we are forecasted for storms and dangerous weather we will be bump it up to Friday night if need be. Keep in mind that is the last thing we want to do but just so we have already addressed the possibility. Because let's be honest weather has been nuts this year. We do not offer refunds so please be aware before signing up. Everything from this event will go into making it possible. The Course The Murder Mile. The course is housed on private land just 20 minutes from Downtown Franklin . Within 1 mile and 340 feet o
f elevation gain per loop you’ll encounter two climbs with fast runnable sections between them an an easy downhill section through the field to the start/finish area. The course itself is an old logging road so it’s nice wide double track. The climbs are straight up with no switchbacks and steep grades. NO PETS ALLOWED VERY IMPORTANT: Absolutely no pets. There are already pets that call this place home, and while we love our furry friends we do not want to disturb and upset the current residents. If you bring a furry sidekick, you will be asked to take them back to their home. THIS IS FIRM SO PLEASE DO NOT THINK WE BEND ON THIS AT ALL. Awards Keep in mind this is meant to be FUN but we will award top 3 in both categories for male and female. We will track loops using our foolproof clothes-pin system.Keep in mind these "tricks" could make your loop harder so don't get too heartbroken over it. You cannot pick treat each loop so do not plan on it. Everyone will be getting tricked. REFUND POLICY
Important note: There will be absolutely no refunds or deferrals given. Please know when you register for this event, you are donating to covering the costs of bringing all of our trail lovers together. The event is hosted on private land so we will not be relying on Forestry Services or state parks to give us the go-ahead.Now, more than ever, it is important that we support each other as humans and as a community celebrate being out in the woods. We want to bring everyone together with a fun and unique experience all can enjoy. Please know your entry fee is being donated to the human experience and giving those we call friends the gift of a good day in the woods. If there are proceeds will be donated to helping the Jones family to improve and maintain the property so they can keep you coming back year after year. Event's current local time: 3:58 AM CT
Divisions Start times will be staggered amongst the divisions. The 8 hour is a MIDNIGHT start on SATURDAY NIGHT not Friday so - bring on your overnight training runs!40 hour starts Friday at 4 pm24 hrs start time: 8 am Saturday12 hrs start time: 8 am Saturday 3 hrs start time : 10 am Saturday6 hrs start time: 12pm SaturdayYouth 5k (start time: 8:30am) THE YOUTH IS CHILDREN ONLY. 16 and under. Adults may accompany them but cannot sign up for this division. Please do not ask the answer is NO. If you want to run Mid-State we highly recommend you run this event. Not only to move up in the selection process but to access how to approach Mid-State. Race Logistics The Tennessee Mile is a looped race with runners responsible for tracking their loops. There is not a time limit on your loop. Log as many or as few loops as you like. Training Plans Available & Gear Rental Training plans are available for purchase by our Mother of The Murder Mile BMFJ herself. We also offer camping gear and tent rentals
for you convenience. Please send us an email or reachout at www.bmfjevents.com Aid & Crew Runners can accept crew and aid anywhere on this course. Runners are required to bring their own setup for this event. The large tents will not be available like at Mid-State. We may put up a couple but plan on relying on you and your friends to create your setup. Camping is allowed in the big field. Camping tents (requiring strings and stakes) are not permitted in the start/finish area. Crews are allowed to provide their own pop-up canopy-style tent to use for their runner at the start/finish. Crews can set up anywhere within this crew area and provide aid to their runner. All runners MUST provide their own aid. We will have water and electrolytes, but all nutrition must be provided by individuals.Pacing & Company There’s a difference between pacing & company. If you want to have some company with your friend, wife, husband, or whoever joins you, that's okay for most divisions but they cannot “pace”
you. They can WALK with you. What I’m saying is if your loved ones want to do a lap or two with you they can but they can’t be out there mile after mile or swapping in and out. Do not take advantage of this. Do not be that guy. You will be disqualified. If you are looking to be competitive keep this in mind because if someone sees, hears, or reports that you’re receiving pacing before it’s allowed you’ll be ineligible for placing. Again Company is a friend or loved one joining you at a leisurely pace or checking out the course with you for a couple of laps NOT THE ENTIRE TIME again think walking. PLEASE BE REASONABLE. YOU KNOW WHAT'S FAIR AND WHAT'S NOT. Use common sense. You shouldn’t have company for most of your race and nobody should be “getting their miles” with you during your race until after pacing is allowed. What we love about this setup is how it can be shared with your loved ones and we want you to be able to show them what you’re doing and not have to police this policy. If we
think you’re taking advantage of this you will be called out and we do NOT want to do that.40 Hour - Company & Pacing Anytime! Y’all get to do whatever you want. You signed up for 40 hours of this punishment. You’re special! 24 Hour - Company Anytime - Pacing after 10 pm. Y’all are awesome and only kinda get to do why you want. 12 Hour - SORRY NO PACING FOR YOU but if your mother-in-law twice removed shows up and wants to do a lap with you it’s fine. 6 Hour - SORRY NO PACING FOR YOU but if your grandma shows up with her walker and wants to do a lap with you that’s fine. You just can’t use the walker. 3 Hour - No Pacers8 Hour - You are the company and pacers. Breathe life and fire into that course. Protect the walking dead. House Rules VERY IMPORTANT: Absolutely no pets. There are already pets that call this place home, and while we love our furry friends we do not want to disturb and upset the current residents. If you bring a furry sidekick, you will be asked to take them back to their
home. Additionally, runners are not permitted in the house or on the porch. Finally, you will notice there are hunting stands on the property. For safety reasons, those are off limits as well. Please bring your family, friends, a can-do attitude, and smiles. The Toughest Little Mile in Tennessee The Tennessee Mile will take place on the hallowed ground known as The Murder Mile, home to the instant classic, the Mid-State Mile. The race will feature a variety of timed divisions. Unlike MSM, you are not limited by timed loops. Instead, your task is to complete as many loops as you can (or want to) within the allotted total time. The course is housed on private land just 20 minutes from downtown Franklin, TN. It boasts a 1.1 mile loop with 340 feet of elevation gain. You’ll encounter two monster climbs with fast, runnable sections between them and a downhill section through the field to the start/finish area. The course itself is an old logging road so it features a nice, wide double track trail.
Rest assured, we’ll clean up the course real good before race day. We like pretty things. Refund Policy Important note: There will be absolutely no refunds or deferrals given. NEW THIS YEAR Description -BLACK TOE RUN - The pursuit of Congelatio BLACK TOE RUNThe Pursuit of CongelatioEvent Description:The Black Toe Run is a 12- and 24-hour endurance event for individuals and relay teams, held on a rugged trail loop at Hardin Farm in Watertown, Tennessee. The course is a ~5-mile trail loop with approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain per lap. The goal is simple: complete as many loops as possible within your allotted time. Relay teams consist of 2 or 4 runners, but individual athletes are welcome to take on the challenge solo. We accept no responsibility for frozen toes, questionable life decisions, or existential crises resulting from that choice.LocationHardin Farm10010 Statesville RoadWatertown, TN 37184Start Times12HR & 24HR events:10:00 AM — 1/30/2748HR event:Starts 24 hours earlierFinish Times:12HR concludes at 10:00 PM24HR concludes at 10:00 AM the following day along with the 48 hour(Yes, that’s simple math.)A brief awards ceremony will follow the

So there is only a 1-3rd placeRace RulesOne runner (per team) is allowed on course at any given time. Each runner must mark their time on the board when returning back from the loop. This is the only way we can keep track of your time and is based on the honor system. Each team member must complete at least one lap every 12 hours unless a team member has been injured.Runners are
responsible for your own warmth, sleeping tent, and winter survival. Keep this in mind, as January weather in Tennessee can go nuts quickly. At the conclusion of the race, runners are given a 15 min grace period to finish their final lap, after which a mile of their total will be deducted for every 15 min they are late (for example, at 10:15 one mile is deducted, at 10:30 two miles, and so forth). If you are gunning for the 100 mile record then there are strict rules in which you must be back exactly at or before the 24 hour mark.Littering on the course will subject you to disqualificationDue to the extreme weather at this time of year, we reserve the right to cancel the event at any time. Final results will be calculated based on each runner’s placement at the call time as determined by that runner’s last completed lap. This rule is intended to be a last resort. If you are struggling at any point, race officials have the right to evaluate you, and it will be their call if you will be allowed
to continue. These decisions will be made with your safety and desire to finish in mind.Runners may have crew support every lap. The crew must stay in the designated area on The Big Barn, and are not permitted on the course. Solo runners in the 24 hour and 48 hour can have someone come out with them after the 12 hour mark. Teams are not allowed to have anyone on the course with them. HardRUCK We’re excited to offer the Rucking Division again for each race. For those new to the concept, rucking involves walking or hiking with a weighted pack. The term comes from the military word “Rucksack,” meaning “Backpack.”Weight Requirements:Over 150lb: 20lb dry weightUnder 150lb: 10lb dry weightWeigh-ins will occur 30 minutes before the race start—no weigh-in, no patch. The weight must be in the form of a steel ruck plate, weight vest blocks, bumper plates, or other items with clearly stamped weight. Participants may not remove or reduce the weight during the event and may face random checks at aid
stations or anywhere on the course. We rely on the honor system, so please do the right thing. Elevation Profile 48 Hours Rules 48-Hour Specific RulesThis is a very lonely hard option, it is meant for experienced athletes only. Layout The Natchez Trace Trail Run is an excellent introduction to trail racing and a strong choice for runners tackling their first trail marathon or first 50-mile race. The course rewards smart pacing, steady effort, and attention to fueling. Long stretches of uninterrupted trail allow runners to settle in and focus on execution, while the cumulative elevation and rugged sections ensure the distance is fully earned. For experienced runners, the course offers an opportunity to run consistently and efficiently. For first-time ultra athletes, it provides a setting that allows you to learn the rhythms of longer trail racing without overwhelming complexity. This race also typically sells out, often well before race weekend. Hammer Drop charges into Barfield Crescent Park for the first time ever on Sunday, August 16, bringing tighter single track, punchy power climbs, and fast, technical descents that demand your full gas. This fresh venue delivers raw terrain, high-speed flow, and zero room to coast—perfect for riders ready to test their legs, lungs, and nerve. Barfield is fast, fierce, and built for racing.
Barfield Hammer Drop: A True Test of Speed & Skill
This one’s a little different…think time trial meets technical challenge. At Barfield Crescent Park, it’s not just about how fast you are—it’s about how smooth you ride.
We’re adding 3 “No Dab” challenge sections throughout the course: Put a foot down? That’s a dab. Clean it? You’re in the game.
Hit 1 or 2 out of 3 and score prizes from our vendors. Clean all 3 and you could take home a $100 prime.
Fast. Technical. Zero room for mistakes. Can you keep it smooth under pressure?
Location: Barfield Crescent Park Mountain Bike Trails, 202 Hemlock Dr., Murfreesboro, TN 37128
The trails at Barfield Crescent Park bring classic Tennessee single track to life with twisty wooded lines, punchy leg-burning climbs, and fast descents that reward riders who carry speed. Limestone rock, rooty corners, and natural features keep you on your toes while the rolling terrain delivers a nonstop race rhythm. It’s playful, technical, and built for riders who like to stay on the gas. This trail system is managed by the Murfreesboro Park & Rec, SORBA MidTN, local bike shops and volunteers.

We're excited to partner with and support HUB YOUTH CYCLING on this event!
Life;Story is Centerstone’s national walk/run for suicide prevention, bringing communities together across Illinois, Tennessee, and Florida for a day of hope, healing, and connection. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome, from families with strollers and kids in the youth races to runners with dogs and virtual supporters joining from afar.
In Tennessee, the event takes on an additional focus: the start and finish lines sit just miles from the gates of Fort Campbell, home to the decorated 101st Airborne Division, the 5th Special Forces Group, and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Here, Life;Story also serves to honor the brave service members, veterans, and military families who have carried the invisible wounds of war—reminding them they are seen, valued, and never alone.
The semicolon in Life;Story symbolizes a pause—not an ending—and reflects the belief that every person’s story has more ahead. That spirit is felt throughout race day with a welcoming, supportive atmosphere filled with community vendors, mental health and military‑specific resources, free giveaways, and crowd‑favorite perks like an event T‑shirt, finisher medal, and access to our curated Spotify playlist.
Proceeds from Life;Story in Tennessee help provide critical mental health and addiction services for individuals with limited or no resources—including dedicated support for military service members, veterans, and their families. By participating, you’re helping save lives, strengthening your community, and reminding others that their story matters—and that it’s far from over.
A $5 discount is available to 1st Responders using promo code, 1STRESPONDER5, and to Military/Veterans using promo code MILITARY5.
