*Make sure: the brakes work, the tires are NOT dry rotted and have good tread, fill up the tires with air to make sure the inner-tubes are in great working order. ~~*If the tires loose air, that means the bike needs new inner-tubes.

On Sunday July 12th, Steve McQueen and YOU star in the horror movie of the century! Uh...last century!
Every year, Phoenixville, PA celebrates Blobfest in honor of 1958's The BLOB. Join us as we start and finish right in front of the Colonial Theatre for our 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Kids Fun Run!
Course Decoration Contest!
Not a runner? Get a group of friends together to participate in our course decoration contest and you could win gift cards to our local Phoenixville restaurants. Here's how it works: Your group will be given an area on the 5K course to decorate in some Blob (or other monster/alien) theme. The only rule is that you don't obstruct or startle our runners. After the race, runners will vote for the best scenes and the winners will receive gift cards!
Location: The race starts in front of the Historic Colonial Theatre on Bridge Street! 227 Bridge St. The street will be closed to cars.
Parking: Free off-site parking will be available at Phoenixville Middle School (1000 Purple Pride Parkway). Half marathon runners should park at the middle school only if they have picked up their bibs the day before (since the half marathon starts at 7 am). GPS LINK TO LOT
Paid Parking Near the Start/Finish: See the parking map at the bottom of our registration page HERE. There are four municipal lots near the starting area. One is accessible by the driveway between the Municipal building and the Foodery (325 Bridge Street). The other is on the corner of Taylor Alley and South Main Street. There is also parking at the Borough Hall lot (351 Bridge Street) and the Smithworks parking lot (30 N. Main St.). When you park at Smithworks, it's a very short walk over the bridge by the Foundry to get up to Bridge Street.

What To Bring:

~ Ideally, the bike should have shifting gears, *knobby tires (no slick or bald tires), well-fitted, and in great working condition.
*Please take your bike to a bike shop for a tune up before camp begins: a bike that breaks on the trail can be a real bummer. Make sure the brakes work, the chain is not rusty or stiff, the tires are in good condition (no dry-rot) and all the nuts and bolts are secure.
~A well-fitted helmet in great condition. No cracks or dents- protect those noggins.
~A water bottle (or two) or a hydration pack
~Closed-toe, secure shoes. No sandals, flip-flops-or crocs.
~Snacks (none sharing). Nutritious, skip the high sugar. The rider is the engine, proper nutrition before and during camp will make for a better experience.
~Personal medicine if needed: Inhalers, Epipens..etc.
For Adventure Bike Camp: most bikes are great. While a mountain bike is ideal, if you have a traditional single-gear bike, we can work with you! Reach out to us [email protected], give us a heads up.
Highly Recommended:
~protective eyewear
~sunscreen & bug/tick repellent
~bike gloves
~padded bike shorts ?TRUST US!
Please reach out to your local bike shop now, to make sure your kiddo has a great camp experience later!
*All bikes should have a tune-up at least once a year.
Doing so saves money, keeps your bike in good condition, can prevent mechanical failures, and offers safety and security while riding your bike.
*Make sure: the brakes work, the tires are NOT dry rotted and have good tread, fill up the tires with air to make sure the inner-tubes are in great working order. ~~*If the tires loose air, that means the bike needs new inner-tubes.
*Make sure the chain is not rusty, it has been properly oiled and moves freely along the gears.
*If your bike has gears, please make sure all the gars can work, and that the chain works well on the gears.
Don't hesitate to take your bike to a bike shop to have them take a look and see how they can help you get your bike in great working order!

If there is light rain during the event, we will still swim. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO KEEP YOU INFORMED OF CONDITIONS, BUT DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE RIVER, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ANY RACE TO BE HELD AT THE TIME INDICATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FLEXIBILITY!

AT THE "STRONG SUGGESTION" of the City of Philadelphia Office of Risk Management we are postponing the 2026 Souper Bowl 5K
due to the expected conditions at race time and the heavy exposure at the Northeast Philadelphia Airport. In keeping with the information below we have requested the July 25, 2026, race date, keeping with the opening of TRAINING CAMP. As soon as that is approved we will reopen registration. We will be starting at 8:30AM and the give away will change from a soup mug to a pint glass.
Super Football Weekend
There’s a new race, coming to Northeast Philly on the Saturday before the BIG GAME!
A 5K on a shorter version of the NorFEAST 4 Miler course, along the Northeast Philadelphia Airport bike path.
The turn around will be near Avalon Street along Academy Road.
Like the big game we’ll have a late start.
Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration beings at 10:00AM inside Northeast SkateZone.
The race doesn’t start until 11:00AM so you can sleep in on Saturday (hopefully it will warm up a bit after sunrise) and still make the start of the race!
There may even be halftime entertainment!
Bathroom facilities are also INDOORS!
THIS CHANGE: SOUP MUGS & spoons TO THOSE REGISTERED BY January 17, 2026 We ordered some extra so there's still a chance you'll get one
SOUP at the finish! Please do not take food back inside SkateZone.
MEDALS
In keeping with the tradition of races at this location we'll be giving out a themed medal, but it will not be the same boring traditional race finisher medal.
We're hoping cheerleaders will send you off and welcome you back to the finish. If you know a group that would like to come out, we would love to hear from you.
Gridiron themed awards for the top three men and women overall and in these age groups:
19 & Under, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+ Women, 60-69 Men, 70+ Men
Age groups may be altered depending on registration demographics
Additionally we will awards $100 runBUCKS CrackedBell gift cards to the first man and woman wearing the winning team’s colors on race day. We won’t know that until about 11PM on Sunday February 8, 2026. (Colors means official gear not just a shirt that may match the colors of each team in the big game.)
POST RACE OPEN SKATE
Northeast SkateZone is extending an offer to attend Public Skating after the race for the reduced group price of $13 per person. Sign up during the registration process, in the “STORE” section.
WEATHER
Race Director reserves the right to alter or shorten the course due to weather and/or conditions of the road. Should roads be undrivable or the path be unrunnable on race day we will reschedule of a date near the beginning of training camp (warm weather)

THE COURSE:
The 39th Annual The Ben to The Shore Bike Tour on Sunday, July 26th, 2026 is a charity bike ride that raises money to provide necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders and cultivate positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve.
There are 3 route options available: the full 65-mile route from Philadelphia to Atlantic City; the 30-mile route from Hammonton, NJ to Atlantic City; and the 10-mile route from Galloway, NJ to Atlantic City. Upon arrival at the finish line at the Showboat Hotel, riders are greeted by friends and family, volunteers and supporters where we celebrate their amazing physical accomplishment and raise additional funds at our legendary after party.
