Go Beyond Gravel Roads
Onto Singletrack Trails
In Beebe Hill State Forest
Saturday, Sunday, or both days! Leaving from Hillsdale, NY, we ride up gravel roads, rising to the Taconic Mountains and high points in Beebe Hill and Harvey Mountain state forests. This ride is picturesque and mostly shaded. We are running the event on both Saturday and Sunday so that you can choose the day that works best for you. Same ride format and aid stations on both days.
Riders can choose to stay on the gravel-only routes (shorter 41 miles, longer 56 miles) or venture onto chonky singletrack (shorter 45 miles, longer 61 miles). Shorter routes are 4000ft of climbing while longer routes are 6000ft, and +500ft for chonky routes.

Routes:
Some folks will probably go as fast as they can. But the shorter routes will have a ‘party pace’ 8mph average cluster of riders that will finish with more than 5 hours of riding. All routes data will be sent to everyone who registers. But here’s a preview of the gravel-only shorter route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51493948?privacy_code=AvGYFlt0jnpGxODhn08R22CEtGJDHs0Z
Shorter routes start to the west before heading north and starting the winding journey up the Taconic foothills to our high points in the state forests. The longer routes start to the south where they do a loop including Sunset Rock Rd before heading North, stopping at their special aid station, and then joining the shorter route for the remainder of the miles.
Post-Ride Fun:
On a hot summer afternoon after a very hilly bicycle ride, head indoors at Roe Jan Brewing Co. to the air conditioned dining room and order off of their full menu. Downstairs at the covered patio there are the same beers and ciders with a limited food menu. Stick around until the evening and you will catch the live music crowd. Each rider gets 1 drink ticket which can be used at the bar, or next door at Twisted Sisters Coffee House.
We will have a short awards ceremony around 12:30 for the fastest riders of the shorter and longer routes. At 4pm, after all the riders have completed the course, there will be a small awards ceremony for Ded Freakin' Last (DFL), Bike Least Suited For This Ride, and Sexiest Overall Bike. All trophies will be a variety of hot sauce!
Overnight Stays:
Beebe & Beyond isn't an overnight event, so if you are traveling from out of town you will have to make your own accommodations. Detailed suggestions for overnight stays will be found at BeebeAndBeyond.com
