DRRT Technical Trails Workshop #2- Sterling Edition
This workshop focuses on finding flow on the trails. We'll tackle the McKeags Meadow trail in Sterling Forest and hone in our techniques for
cornering in berms, and pumping for momentum.
We'll do a quick review of body position and cornering techniques before we hit the trail to find our flow
We move at your pace. If the group is crushing it, we push further. If we need more time on the basics, we take it. That's the beauty of a clinic built around you.
Come for the skills. Stay for the stoke.
When: Sunday, June 21
Time: 10 am - 2 pm
Where: Tuxedo, NY
Cost: $200/per person
Space is limited to 8 participants – be sure to register early!
A mountain bike in good working condition is required. Helmet required. Flat pedals, elbow and knee pads recommended.
This workshop takes place rain or shine.
About DRRT:
Dirt Rock n Root Training's owner Kathi Krause has been around the bike block – from velodrome and road racing to cyclocross, XC and finally her true love: downhill. She spent a decade on the Pro downhill circuit, stacking up three Masters World DH Championships, five national titles and a win at the legendary Kamikaze Downhill.
After 25 years of racing, Kathi shifted gears to coaching and founded Dirt Rock n Root Training in 2011 . Since then, she's been helping riders find their flow on everything from lift-accessed bike parks to rocky, rooty singletrack. You'll find her leading her Technical Trail series of clinics in North Jersey or running women's clinics at Mountain Creek Bike Park. Her mission? Simple: Get more women and kids on bikes, help them crush fear and build a community that rides hard and supports harder.
When not coaching, you can find Kathi out doing what she loves most - shredding the rocks and roots of NJ or dropping into her home trails at Mountain Creek Bike Park.

It Takes A Borough (ITAB) is honored to host the annual FUCE 5K Family Fun Run/Walk in Mike Fuccile’s memory. On September 4, 2008, Mike Fuccile was murdered on his way to work in Jersey City where
he served as a chief compliance officer for Merrill Lynch. Mike left behind his wife of ten years, Nancy, and their three children; Michael, Jack and Brooke. In 2009, The Fucille Foundation was established to help local families impacted by tragedy and it continued to do so until the end of 2023 when it passed its torch to ITAB. ITAB, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to encouraging community solidarity, relies on financial contributions and tangible donations to create meaningful, positive impacts on members of its community affected by tragedy or unforeseen circumstances.
The tradition continues this year in dowtown Metuchen! For a preview of the certified course, please visit ittakesaborough.com.
Join us on Father's Day, June 21st at 8:30 AM to participate in this community event.
You have the option of an officially timed 5K race (a bib with a timing chip), an untimed 5k run/walk or a virtual run/walk. If you are NOT interested in your timed results and are attending the event in person, please choose the 5k run/walk. This option provides more funds to the organization as the cost for untimed bibs are slightly less. We are unable to provide an officially timed event for virtual participants, but you can still submit your results.
Virtual 5K - You may choose to participate virtually in the FUCE 5K by requesting this option. ITAB will provide a race day material pickup option for you.
5K Electronically Timed Run - This 5K run will begin at 8:30am. It is a multi-surface 5K route that begins and ends in downtown Metuchen. You may choose to switch events at any time after registering.
5K Fun Run/Walk - The Fun Run/Walk will also begin at 8:30 and follow the same route as the 5K Timed Run. However, this option will not be timed. You may choose to switch events at any time after registering and before 8:00am on race day.
If you chose to participate as a Family Supporter, formerly Family/Family Plus Sponsorship, individual members can participate in any option. We ask that if none of the members of your family wish to be timed or you will not be joining us for the event, that you choose the "Family Supporter - No Timed Runners" option. This will allow for more of your contribution to go directly to families in need.
All participants will receive a race day numbered bib. Registrations received by 11:59 PM on 5/15 will receive a T-Shirt. Registrations after 5/15 are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

The Ride for Mental Health
June 27 & 28, 2026
New Paltz, NY
Beautiful country roads
Multiple rest stops
SAG support
Ride one or both days. In addition to the 25 mile route there are 2 different 50
mile loops. Ride the tougher northern route on Saturday that goes from New Paltz up to the Ashokan Reservoir and returns with a couple of climbs including a 2-mile climb over the "Gunks" and then the less hilly southern route for an easy Sunday challenge. Up for a big challenge? You can ride the 100 mile loop on Saturday by combining both 50 mile routes. The 100 mile route is not available on Sunday. Not comfortable riding with cars? Ride the Rail Trail - a flat car-free ride up to Rosendale and back. This event will comply with COVID-19 best practices in order to best protect the safety of our riders and volunteers.
The Routes (All routes begin and end in New Paltz)
25 mile loop (Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45379681)
A relatively easy, local ride of 25 miles through the Wallkill River Valley. Enjoy the rolling terrain past river and farmlands, punctuated with panoramic views of the Shawangunk Ridge. This route is available both Saturday and Sunday and begins at 8:30am.
50 mile loops (North route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31986492 / South route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32736246)
North OR South loop: you can either ride an easy to moderate 50 mile southern route that passes through vineyards, apple orchards and horse farms on mainly rolling terrain with great views of the Shawangunk Ridge—OR—you can choose the more difficult northern route with a challenging 2-mile climb over the Shawangunk Ridge. The northern route passes through farms, fields, and wooded sections on the way to the Ashokan Reservoir before turning back to New Paltz. This route is available both Saturday and Sunday and begins at 8:30am.
100 mile loop
The 100 mile ride combines both of the 50 mile routes. You will travel north and south of New Paltz over mostly moderate terrain with the exception of a challenging climb over “the Gunks”. The route passes through farms, fields and woods on the way to the Ashokan Reservoir. Don’t miss the amazing view of the Catskills as you climb over the ridge. The southerly half of the route is lined with vineyards, apple orchards and horse farms and is mostly rolling terrain. The 100 mile loop is only available on Saturday and begins at 8:00am.
Rail Trail - 14 mile ride
Perfect for children and family rides. The rail trail is also a great option for those who don't want to ride on the roads. The rail trail is a very flat packed dirt, grass and gravel route. Ride north between fields and woods up the breathtaking trestle over the Rondout Creek in Rosendale. A great spot to dismount and take in the view before turning around back to to New Paltz. This route is available both Saturday and Sunday and begins at 9:00am.
Virtual Rider – Support The Ride even if you are unable to attend in person! There is NO fundraising minimum or any limits to your effort. Every virtual rider will be sent this year’s Official Ride cycling jersey and get their own donation page to use for soliciting donations.
