A 1 to 3 mile walk around the 1/3 mile oval at Turner Park in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday July 19th at 9am. The proceeds go the Children's Nebraska Pediatric Oncology Department. The walk is part of a free family Ice Cream Day celebrating Butter Brickle Ice Cream which was created in Omaha in the 1920's. After the walk, kids entertainment, outdoor games and free ice cream will be served.
There will also be a kids walk for kids 1 to 15. No T-Shirts for that walk.
Registration is available at packet Pick-up: Friday, July 24th - 5:00PM to 7:00 PM.

To participate in any of our events you must have a USA-Cycling License.
You will be able to purchase a license within the registration process.
Please join us for the running of the Trail of the Dragon! This run will take place along with the Moorehead Park Trail Mazathon. Course will consist of 10 mile loops on single track dirt and mowed meadow through the rolling hills of our beautiful historic park. Participants can expect challenging hills and beautiful scenery while running well-marked and maintained trails. You will be running on some old stage coach trails past the first homestead which served as the stage coach stop, church and doctor/hospital. Pay your respects as you visit the cemetery of our first settlers and run past a one room school house.
This race will consist of 10 mile loops with the option of signing up for the 50k, which will consist of three 10 mile loops with a 1 mile out and back; or the 50 Mile option which will consist of five 10 mile loops.
Finisher medals will be awarded to all finishers.
If you view the course map you will see that it shows the elevation as around 600 ft. of climb. This information is not correct. The actual elevation is around 1000 ft. of climb per loop.
There will be a designated spot for drop bags at the start/finish line and at the mid-way aid station. Please mark your bag with your bib number. There are no water crossing but depending on the amount of dew on the ground your shoes will get wet going through the meadows. If you are a 50 mile participant and plan to carry a flash light or head lamp we will have a drop box for these at the mid-way station and we will return them to the start/finish drop area for you to pick up when you are finished.
There will be 2 fully stocked and manned aid stations on the loop. One at the start/ finish line and the other one at around mile 5. To help quench your thirst the aid stations will offer water HAMMER HEED. You are required to carry your own device for your liquids, THE AID STATIONS WILL NOT BE STOCKED WITH DRINKING GLASSES!!! Because of the possibility of high temperatures on race day you will not be allowed on the course without a device to hold liquids. As far as nutritional items are concerned we will carry a wide variety of items which may include but are not limited to...pb&j sandwiches, trail mix, pickles, pickle juice, pretzels, cookies, salty potatoes, freeze pops, bananas, ext...... WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY DRINKING GLASSES! There will also be three unmanned water stations along the loop. They will be located at around miles 2, 4, and 8. These stations will supply water only. THERE WILL NOT BE DRINKING GLASSES!
Packet pick-up will be at the Conservation Center at Moorehead Park from 4-8pm on Friday, July 31, 50 MILE PARTICIPANTS can pick up your packet from 5-5:30am on race day. We will have a short meeting at 5:45 and your run will start promptly at 6:00am. 50K PARTICIPANTS can pick up your packets from 5-6:30am on race day. We will have a short meeting at 6:45 and your run will start promptly at 7:00am. Please arrive to the race site early enough to give yourself plenty of time to be prepared for your designated start time!
In order to help you prepare for your run and perhaps meet and mingle with fellow runners and volunteers we will offer a pasta meal at packet pick-up. The meal will be available from 5:30-7:30 on Friday July 31at the conservation center. This will be a FREE WILL DONATION! If you would like you can bring along your favorite beverage to enjoy. We will provide water and ice tea.
This event will run in conjunction with the Moorehead Park Trail Mazathon.

Both of these are located in Ida Grove and are within two miles of the park. If you are looking to camp there is primitive camping available a Moorehead Park, no electrical hook-ups. Cobb Park is a small camping area located across the highway from the park and offers electrical hook-ups and hot showers. Crawford Creek Recreational Area is located outside of Battle Creek, IA. approximately 15 miles from Moorehead Park. It offers electrical hook-ups and hot showers. They also have cabins to rent and can be reserved on line at my county parks or by calling the Ida County Conservation Office at #712-364-3300.

This race will consist of three 8.8 mile loops with the option of signing up for the 1/3 mazathon which consists of one loop for 8.8 miles, the 2/3 mazathon which consists of two loops for 17.6 miles, or the full mazathon which consists of 3 loops for 26.2 miles.
Finisher medals will be awarded to all distances for Mazathon finishers.

This run is part of the Angry Cow Series
The Lake Wehrspann 10K is part of the Lord of the Lakes series. All finishers in the 10K receive a Lord of the Lakes medal and the associated gemstone.
10K – A picturesque route on the paved trail around the Lake. It will test a runner’s mettle with its many turns and occasional hills.
2 Mile – A moderately hilly out-and-back course across the dam.
KIDS’ 1K – A relatively flat route along the trail for kids 12 & under.
10K & 2 Mile participants will receive a T-shirt with their registration. T-shirt is not guaranteed after 7/21/2026. No shirt for Kids' 1K. All participants will receive refreshments after the race.
The 10K starts at 7:30 am, the 2 mile at 7:35 am and the kids run at approximately 8:50 am after the last 10K runner finishes.
ORC Members: Use code 'ORC' for $5 discount.
This 5-race series will challenge you to conquer Lakes Standing Bear, Cunningham, Flanagan, Walnut Creek, and Wehrspann. Sign up for the series for $125 or individual races for $35 each. Series finishers will receive a special medal commemorating their accomplishment.

Race Information:
The race begins at Czechland Lake, just north of Prague on Hwy 79. Participants will run/walk along the scenic old railroad that stretches along the lake and continues west to the ghost town of Rescue. All pre-registered participants will receive a Run To Rescue T-shirt (must be registered by July 25). Participants will be running in conjunction with Prague's annual celebration, Beer Barrel Days.
Entries received after July 25th are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

What is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk?
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! How far is a Tunnel to Towers 5K?
This is a 5K (3.1 miles). You are welcome to walk or run this event.
What is the best time to register?
The best time to register is always RIGHT NOW. Registration is tied to a price tiering system where the price increases occur one week after the opening of registration, one month before the event, and on race day.
Will I receive an event T-shirt?
Your registration fee includes a T2T Lincoln event T-shirt. However t-shirts are not guaranteed for participants that register on race day. To guarantee you receive a 2026 event T-shirt, you must register by July 27th.
What is the age limit?
There is no age limit. All are welcome!

There is ample parking available at Mahoney Park at the parking lots along Elton Lux Memorial Drive

Do I have to wear my bib number?
Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position?
Runners predicting a faster pace may make their way to the front of the line, based on space availability (hint: arrive early!).
Will the Event be timed?
We are looking into timing the event this year.
Will water be available?
Yes, a water station will be available along the route, and there will be water available at the start/finish. There will be very limited water at the start line. Please hydrate before the event starts, or bring water with you if necessary.
Will there be food at the event?
Yes! We are working with local food trucks and vendors to bring food and snacks on-site at the event.
What can you bring to the event?
You will be responsible for all of your personal belongings you bring to the event. Please leave anything that you do not want to run/walk with locked securely in your vehicle.
Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc?
You can participate with a stroller, wheelchair, and/or backpack. No roller blades, bicycles, or pets.
Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk. T2T will not be responsible for the loss of any items.
What should I wear if I am participating?
The general public should wear comfortable clothes and shoes. We encourage everyone to wear patriotic colors and carry flags if you would like. We LOVE to see Red, White, and Blue! Military and first responders, we encourage you to wear your gear/uniform, or anything that signifies what department or branch you serve.

Where does all the money raised get allocated?
All funds raised from Tunnel to Towers 5K Run Lincoln will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for many of their programs. The mission of this Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. 93% of all money donated to the Foundation goes directly into their programs to help fallen first responders and veteran families.
If I win an award and am not present for the award ceremony, where can I pick it up?

Registration fees help offset some of the expenses associated with making the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk one of the country’s greatest annual events, however your fundraising efforts enable us to help first responders and continue building smart homes for the most catastrophically injured service members. To show our appreciation for your time, passion, and effort, we recognize each fundraising milestone that is reached with prizes branded with the Tunnel to Towers logo.
