TOUR THE STATE OF NC-PAIN FREE?
Take part in the first race of its kind across the state of North Carolina. Starting in Sparta racers will traverse self-supported across the entire state finishing at Jockey's Ridge State Park. Racers will have to rely on their own wits, logistics and sheer will to complete this event. Racers will park in Waco, North Carolina at the residence of the race director. The parking is in a secured site that is monitored 24/7. Racers will load in vans/buses at 0500 and proceed to the Sparta post office where the race will start at 0700. Racers will have 336 hours/14 days to complete the distance. All racers will receive a custom finishers award and the ability to buy a finishers hoodie that only those who do the entire distance qualify for. This is a graduate level journey run. No refunds will be provided after registration and any racer who wishes to drop can sell their entry to another runner. Deferrals will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Racers that finish in Jockey's Ridge will be able to stay in a hotel near Nags Head (paid for as part of the entry) and will be shuttled every 24-36 hours back to their car. Racers who have a tight travel window can be shuttled as needed. If you miss a cut off you will be given a warning. If you miss a second cutoff you will be pulled for your safetyRace Director/Race Team reserve the right to disqualify racers at any time for littering, riding in a car at any time, committing a crime, unsafe act or danger to the racer.Understand that the weather in the North Carolina mountains can become cold and dangerous at times, the race team will monitor racers as much as possible and provide warming vehicles or safety measures as needed.
