Since 1983, Achilles International has empowered over 150,000 athletes of all ages and ability levels to participate in endurance events around the globe.

The North Carolina Central University Charlotte Alumni Association is excited to host our "NCCU Charlotte Alumni 5k Run/Walk”. To those who have consistently supported this event over the years, we say THANK YOU! Your support has allowed us to award several scholarships to deserving students who are also as THANKFUL as we are. To the newcomers, we welcome you and thank you in advance for considering and supporting our race. This event is for EVERYONE! We welcome serious athletes as well as the weekend runners and walkers to enjoy a great course while supporting a worthy cause. It's not about the race-it's about bringing Community together to support Education! Every registered 5k Run/Walk finisher will receive a finisher's medal.

The Run4More 5K will take place at the beautiful Frank Liske Park in Concord, NC, Home Builder Shelter. All proceeds will benefit scholarship and operational expenses for The Education Over Debt Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. The purpose of the event is to combine financial and physical wellness. Studies have shown that financial stressors have a direct correlation with poor physical and mental well-being. By combining financial and physical wellness we hope to expose students and families to an overall healthier lifestyle.
The funds will provide scholarship monies to students residing in North Carolina continuing their education at any two-year or four-year College or University facing the financial burden of higher education costs and fees. The funds also support the Foundation's programs to support students' various life goals.
College Drop Off Items:
We will be collecting donation items for students attending college. Please feel free to bring items to support students in their journey including but not limited to: notebooks, pens, paper, twin sheet sets, mini desk lamps, throw blankets, snacks, first aid basics, gift cards, etc.
Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers for the adults. The race will occur rain or shine. Registration includes finishing medals, t-shirt, and refreshments.
Register by July 22, 2026 to be guaranteed an awesome T-Shirt! Race Registration price increases by $10 a week prior to the event and while supplies last for all registrations after July 22, 2026. CARD ONLY ON RACE DAY. Registration is done via QR Code at the event.

Turning the Corner on Local Hunger
Tour de Turns is an original and unique charity bicycle ride and walk that benefits Nourish Up (formerly Loaves & Fishes/Friendship Trays, Inc.) Since 2012, the event has netted more than $500,000 to help turn the corner on local hunger!
For those signing up for the Walking event, please remember you must follow all traffic and pedestrian laws. You must stay on the sidewalks/shoulders and not walk in the streets!

This fantastic 5k course winds through some of the most beautiful and iconic avenues in Charlotte’s historic Dilworth neighborhood. And did we mention it’s flat and fast?

The 2026 Yiasou Greek Festival 5k presented by Novant Health starts and finishes at 600 East Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, August 29.
7:30 AM – 5k start time

About the Course:
This is Charlotte’s flattest, fastest 5k! All events start and finish along East Boulevard, near the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Map below!
Timing and Scoring:
The race will be chip timed, and all participant results are based on the time the individual runner crosses the start and finish lines, respectively. Results will be available as you cross the finish line. Just scan the QR code on your bibs or at the finish line!

Water Stops and Porta-Potties:
There will be 1 (one) water stop along the 5k course. It will be located at approximately the 1.5-mile mark. Porta-Potties will be available at the start/finish area.

ATC10K is focused on being one of the most sustainable races in the country while giving back to the community as much as possible through multiple local non-profit organizations!
The Big E – Life Changers, Inc. will be hosting the 4th Annual 5K Suicide Awareness/Prevention event in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. This event will provide awareness, support and resources to individuals in the community.
