Join SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) for our annual Walk/Run around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, MN on August 1, 2026. This event is not just about miles covered; it's about coming together as a community to support one another and raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Whether you've personally struggled with suicidal ideation, lost a loved one to suicide, or simply want to show your support for those who have, this event is a powerful opportunity to connect with others who understand and empathize with your journey.
We are proud that with the generous partnership of our presenting sponsors TitleSmart and Executive Title, registration for this year's 5K/10K at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis is now FREE. Please spread the word with your networks and help us make this event an incredible success for the cause of suicide prevention! The first 500 registrants will receive a free T-shirt as a thank-you for your support.
The option to donate is available during registration, and all funds raised will be doubled by the Tosa Foundation!
Our 5k and 10k routes wind through the beautiful scenery of Lake Harriet, offering participants a chance to reflect, remember, and find solace in the shared experience of those around them. Every step taken is a step toward breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and fostering a community of understanding and compassion.
Together, we can make a difference. Join us at Lake Harriet for a day of unity, remembrance, and hope as we honor those we've lost, support those who are struggling, and work towards a future where no one feels alone in their battle against suicide.
Online donations and contributions at the race benefit SAVE in our mission to prevent suicide through training, education, advocacy, and supporting suicide loss survivors. Your support funds impactful programs like The Green Bandana Project, workplace suicide prevention training, and much more. Please visit save.org for more information.
Attendees will be able to share photos and written memories of loved ones lost to suicide at a memorial tent at the event. If you would like to share an item in our display honoring loved ones, please bring copies that do not need to be returned with you to the event. Ready to take on the BINGO Run challenge?
This race is a backyard-style event with a fun twist and a definite finish. The goal is simple: earn bingo and have the fastest lap time to wrap up your race. Each 2.6+ mile lap you complete in the 28 minutes or less you get to draw a bingo ball. Then, it’s back out with the group for the next loop. Loops will go off every 28 minutes. If you don’t complete your bingo by the 4th or 8th lap, you'll earn the infamous DNB (Did Not Bingo) status, but don’t worry, you’ll still get a time, distance, and competitor Woodle.
You’ll can choose between two bingo card options, depending on how much you want to run:
The 3x3 card will get you 7.8-13 miles depending on when you draw BINGO (Max Loops 5)
The 4x4 Card will get you 10.4 - 20.8 miles depending on when and if you draw BINGO (Max Loops 8)
You choose which card you want to sign up for.
Course and Location:
The race starts at the Sunfish Lake Parking Lot in Lake Elmo in the parking lot of the Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center. The 2.6 mile trail loops around Sunfish Lake and will be marked with ACR arrows, but be aware of many offshoots and the fact that trails are open to the public. We do our best with signage. This is more single track style hiking trails.
