Welcome to the registration page for the Northwest High School 5K Run/ Walk!

The Northwest High School 5K will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 8:30 AM at Northwest High School in Germantown, MD. The run starts and ends on the Northwest High School track and winds through the surrounding neighborhoods of our school community.

Join us after the run for the health fair being held on school grounds. The proceeds from the Northwest High School 5K will be used by the Northwest High School Booster Club to fund school-sponsored extracurricular activities and clubs, provide scholarships and contribute to the After Prom Party.

Shirt sizes will be available on a first come, first served basis after the 1st.

Come out and enjoy the fun on the challenging 7 miles course.

Cat 1-Expert, Cat 2-Sport and Cat 3-Beginner

• Categories for all skill levels with staggered departure times.

• Reduced entry fees for junior riders.

• Please note the beginner class course is 5.5 miles.

The Venue: DCXC 2026 will be held at Schaeffer Farms in Germantown, Maryland, with parking and staging at Button Farm on Black Rock Rd.

DCMTB is covering all BikeReg fees for this event. Category prices reflect total cost for registration except for sales tax.

Late/Day of Race Registration price increase varies from $5 - $10 depending on category. Day of registration ends 30 minutes before that class starts.

NOTE ON RACING AGE: Your racing age is your age as of December 31, 2026.

Lost Riders: If you miss a turn and cut the course you will be disqualified. Riders are responsible for knowing the course. Check with race promoters about course maps and descriptions.

DNFs: If you have to quit a race for any reason, please let the scoring crew know so we don't go searching the course for you.

Class Sizes: Promoter has the right to combine classes if not enough racers show up.

Mechanical Issues: You must start and finish on the same bike.

Please be respectful of our crew, volunteers, and other racers. Inappropriate behavior on or off the bike may result in disqualification by a race official.

Parking and staging will be held at Button Farm 16820 Black Rock Rd, Germantown, Maryland 20874

Rain date is TBD or refunds will be issued at discrection of DCMTB.

Helmets required for all participants

Please be respectful of the residents and animals at Button Farm as you enter staging area. Button Farm does not allow dogs.

No outside beer, wine or alcohol allowed - we will provide water and hydration and snacks.

*** NO PRE-RIDING AT BUTTON FARM*** Please do not enter Button Farm before 6/20 to pre-ride. They do not allow riders before or after our event. Unauthorized trespassing at Button Farm endangers our ability to hold our races at this venue in the future.
