Come for the run and stay for the fun! This is a great, family friendly race held in conjunction with the Amelia Earhart Festival, which is BACK this year!. Choose from the challenging 8k run/walk
that provides some hills to test your training, or the 2k which is mostly flat with one uphill and one downhill, perfect for aspiring runners/walkers! It is chip timed with finishers medals given to help enhance those bragging rights! The race begins and ends at the Atchison Family YMCA. After the run, head on over to the mall area for even more family fun! This is not a closed course race.

Join us at beautiful Lake Shawnee in Topeka, Kansas for a day of fitness, fun, and community support at the 5K/10K Walk & Run benefiting the
General Lewis W. Walt Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
This family-friendly event invites runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the scenic lake trails while supporting a great cause. Proceeds will directly benefit the General Lewis W. Walt Detachment, helping us continue our mission of supporting Marines, veterans, and their families right here in Kansas. Funds raised will also aid our community programs, including scholarships for high school seniors, Toys for Tots, and local volunteer initiatives such as highway clean-ups and youth engagement.
Participants can choose between the 5K course or the 10K course, both designed to highlight the natural beauty of Lake Shawnee’s shoreline and park trails. All registered participants will receive an official event t-shirt, with awards for top finishers in multiple age groups.

Starting and finishing at Shelter 1 in Overlook Park, at Clinton Lake, the 7th annual Snake 10-Mile Trail Race takes its name from the winding nature of the course. Set amid the rugged trails and
old-growth forest of the north shore of Clinton Lake, Lawrence, Kansas, the unique course layout promises a new experience to even the seasoned Clinton Lake veteran!

The SNAKE features a midway aid station staffed by fellow trail runners and a post-race watermelon feast for runners, volunteers, families and friends. The SNAKE is designed for runners who like using the words "brutal" and "fun" in the same sentence.
Packet pickup will be on race-day morning, starting at 6 am. Start time at 7 am.
SPECIAL SNAKE SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
The race directors have once again concluded a special arrangement with the snakes of Clinton Lake not to attack any runners in "The Snake." On signing up, each entrant will be given a unique "snake name." As a runner, if you encounter a snake on the trail, simply identify yourself with your snake name, then give the snake as wide a berth as possible, and the snake will leave you in peace. Molesting snakes in any way violates the terms of our agreement with the snake population. When snakes and people meet, both should depart unharmed.
Race Guidelines:
To help protect our runners and minimize our impact on beautiful Clinton Lake, runners should follow these guidelines:
Respect the trails. Stay on marked trails, and don't litter. Runners caught littering will be disqualified.
We will have a sign in/sign out sheet on race day. This will let us know all runners are safely off the trails. sign in when you get there, sign out before you leave.
Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Please ensure your dog is capable of handling the distance and heat.
No jogging strollers or other wheeled vehicles. You're welcome to try, but we reserve the right to film it and post the results to YouTube. :)
No drinking alcoholic beverages or smoking on the course during the race.
The trails will be open to the public; be courteous to the other users.
Any runner under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult runner at all times during the race.
Runners must carry a container for hydration while on the course.

Join us and beat the heat this summer at our Midnight Run 5K/10K for Special Olympics. This event is presented by the Leawood Police Department, a participating agency in the Law Enforcement Torch
Run for Special Olympics Kansas, and features a fast course through the streets of Leawood. Your participation will help raise money for Special Olympics and finishers in both the 5K and 10K Run/Walk will receive a custom finishers medal! Due to limitations on road closures, the 10K is a run only event with a one hour and 15 minute time limit. Please don't choose the 10K if you are not able to meet the 10K limit as the roads will be reopened.

The Matt Mason “Cowboy UP!” Triathlon/Duathlon has been established to honor, pay tribute, support and celebrate the lives of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. This
triathlon is our way to stay close to our dear friend, Matt Mason, and keep his memory alive while focusing on supporting others like him and their families.
Race Distances:
Short Course Distance Duathlon is a 1.5 mile run (shotgun start), 11 mile bike course (2 laps), and a 5K run (mostly flat, out and back course).
Short Course Distance Triathlon is a 500 meter swim (time trial start), 11 mile bike course (2 laps), and a 5K run (mostly flat, out and back course).
Long Course Distance Triathlon is a 1,000 meter swim (time trial start), 18.8 mile bike course (4 laps), and a 10K run (mostly flat, out and back course).

Transition:
Transition opens at 5:15am. All athletes will be body marked. Volunteers will be outside the transition entrance ready to help all athletes as they enter.
Swim Start:
Swim warmup opens at 6:15am. Transition closes at 6:45am and all athletes need to exit the area by that time. Race begins at 7am and long course athletes will enter the water first, followed by short course athletes. The swim course is clockwise, and the start will be a time trial start where athletes enter the water approximately every three seconds. You will see minute marker signs for both short and long course – athletes should place themselves in line according to the swim time that is most comfortable.
Duathlon Start:
Duathlon will shotgun start on the run path to the right of the beach away from the finish line at the same time the short course triathlon swim starts.
Bike Course:
Please keep in mind that there is an incline as you exit transition – please set your bike gears accordingly. After you exit transition, it is approximately 1.6 miles to exit the park and reach Highway E. At this point, you will need to count your loops around the course. Short Course will do 2 loops and Long Course will do 4 loops. There will be a timing box on the bike course for accuracy. A bike course map will be included in your packet.
Aid Stations:
There will be water stations along the run course. Short course athletes will pass 2 water stations and Long course athletes will pass 5 water stations.
Awards:
Age group and overall awards will be given for Men and Women for both the Short Course and Long Course Triathlon and Duathlon. The awards ceremony will be held near the finish line after the race.

The 12th annual Diva Dash 5K /10K & Lil' Princess Girls Run will be Sunday, July 20 at 7:30 am at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, KS!
About the 5K and 10K - Participants receive a custom bib, and
finishers of the 5K and 10K receive a large medal. Registrants can also purchase a custom race shirt for an additional $7 when they register.
About the Lil' Princess Girls Run - girls ages 8 and under can participate in this fun run of 50-200 yards based on age. Participants will receive a shirt, custom bib, tiara, and Lil' Princess medal. The Lil' Princess Fun Run starts after the 5K is complete (approximately 8:30 am).
About the Virtual 5K - run on your own whenever and wherever works for you and we will mail your shirt, bib, and finisher's medal to you.

Come Join us for the 4th annual Touch Both Lines Gravel Grinder. This is an event to honor Hal Russell, a 6-time Tour Divide finisher and local legend. We will again be donating half of the profits
to the NICA youth mountain bike group out of Warsaw Missouri, the Benton County Composite Bobcats.
You can choose the beginner friendly 15 mile fun ride or the more challenging 50 mile race.
