5K and One Mile Race
Entries will be accepted online until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23rd. Race day registrations will be accepted (without receiving a shirt).
Early packet pickup will be available Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the information kiosk downtown at Swiss Days. Race day packet pickup starts at 7 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top 10 finishers in each division. There will be an aid station along the 5K route. Post-race refreshments will be available to all participants.
You must be registered by Sunday July 20th at 11:59pm to receive a t-shirt the day of the race.
1 Mile race is open to those age 11 and under on July 26, 2025.
GASTON LIONS CLUB TWENTY THIRD ANNUAL 5K RUN AND WALK
The GASTON LIONS CLUB 5K RUN/WALK will start with registration at the Wes-Del Elementary School at 500 East Jackson Street, Gaston, IN 47342 at 7:00 AM on SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 2026. After registration is closed at 8:00 AM, a meeting will be held for participants and then everyone will precede to the starting line. The race will start promptly at 8:30 AM in the Town of Gaston and finish at the Gaston Lions Club Park.
Those needing a shuttle prior to the race, must register by 7:30 AM to drop off a vehicle at the Gaston Lions Club Park and be shuttled back to the starting line. A shuttle will also be provided back to the Town of Gaston, if needed, after the race.
The course will start on the corner of South Washington and Vine Streets, continue through the town of Gaston, south on the Cardinal Greenway, east onto Country Road 750 N, north on County Road 450 W and end at the Gaston Lions Club Park, 7449 W. CR 850 N. The course is mostly flat, with many straight sections so is conducive to recording good times.

Each turn on the route will be manned by a Gaston Lions Club Member or police officer to ensure participants stay on the correct route. Mile markers will be placed each half mile on the route on the side of the trail or road, but not directly on the trail surface. One or two water stations will be provided on the course, depending on the temperature on race day. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the finish line. Awards will be given to the Top three finishers in each of the eleven age groups for male and female and the overall male and female run winners. There will be LOTS of DOOR PRIZES! All preregistered runners and walkers will receive a T-shirt. Race day shirts may be limited.
Age groups for both male and female are: 12 & Under,13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-65, 66-69, 70-75 and 76 & over.
A FREE KIDS FUN RUN will be held at the Gaston Lions Club Park after the 5K Run is complete at about 9:15 AM. The KIDS FUN RUN is a distance of about a quarter mile. All Kids participating in the Fun Run will receive an award.
Originating in 1987, the objective was to encourage participation in a healthy activity while promoting the Van Buren Popcorn Festival. The Kernel 5K has experienced increased attendance since the first event. The Van Buren Popcorn Festival Committee who volunteer to conduct the event appreciate your involvement and look forward to seeing you again this year!

Starting line is located on Indiana State Road 5 in front of the Van Buren Library.
The Course
The course is well marked and the surface is flat and paved. We ensure your safety with traffic control and water stations. The finish line is in front of the Popcorn Festival Grandstand where there will be fruit and drinks available to all participants.

The Tree Trail Trot Race is a beautiful trail run experience on the gently rolling, wooded trails of Salamonie Lake, one of Indiana's Department of Natural Resources State Parks. This 5k race begins and ends at the Wildlife Management Pond located near the modern Campgroup at the Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area. New for this year, it will be a chip timed event!
This race is made possible through the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services, Inc. A Pancake Breakfast will be served free for participants and a suggested free will donation to the public. Freshly picked sweet corn will be available for purchase during the event. All proceeds of this event go into the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive services to support events, education, and the Interpretive Center.

Event Description
This is the 52st running of the Parlor City Trot! Along with the half-marathon, there are also 10k and 5k runs. The course is flat and fast and winds through the streets of Bluffton, Ouabache State Park, and along the Wabash River on the scenic River Greenway. Runners of ALL speeds are welcome but there is a4 hour time limit for the half marathon event (early starts available).

We welcome runners and walkers of all speeds however, there is a 4 hour time limit for the Half-Marathon so we can give volunteers and the City of Bluffton some certainly about time commitments and the start and ending of street closures. Please be respectful of our time limit. An early start at 6:30am is available for runners who may not make the 4 hour time limit. Warren Riverside Run 5k Run/Walk
Join us for the 3rd Annual Warren Riverside Run, a 5k run & walk, along the Salamonie River and celebrate with us afterwards at our post-race party at Riverside Park. All proceeds benefit Warren Chamber of Commerce.
The race will take place on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at 8:30am. The start/finish line will be located at Riverside Park, 126 E 1st St, Warren, IN 46792. The route for this 5k will take you across the bridge, along the Salamonie River, and around Riverside Park.

Guidelines for Dogs Attending the Event
All dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash and under supervision at all times.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
Any dog displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs must be immediately removed from the event by its owner.

Inclement Weather & Refunds
This event raises funds for the Warren Area Chamber and there will be no refunds if the race must be canceled due to inclement weather. We will hold the race as long as conditions do not make holding it dangerous to competitors. If the race is canceled, you can still pick up your race packet at Riverside Park. Information for that will be posted as needed.
There will also not be any refunds given if you are unable to attend the event after registering. All funds from the Riverside Run fund the Warren Chamber and their help to the community throughout the year.

Join us for the 11th Annual Veterans Day 5K & Bike Ride event! The start line will be outside the Indiana National Guard at 9 AM in Huntington. Sign up for the scenic 5K, 1 Mile Family Fun Walk or the 17 mile (approximately) Bike Ride. Free refreshments and top place awards will be given out following the race on-site.

The W.O.O.F. is a trail run and should be considered potentially harmful to your ankles, feet, and knees, etc. While the Ouabache State Park trails are not hilly, there are roots, ruts, and wooden bridges to contend with, as well as the potential for soggy autumn leaves covering it all :)
The Pathfinder Early Learning Center Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving tradition in Huntington County. The Turkey Trot is a 5K run and 1 Mile Walk. Our new location starts at Pathfinder’s Administrative offices, going around the beautiful Pehkokia Woods and passing the Izaak Walton League on the way back. We plan on seeing our 1,100+ participants, along with spectators and fans. Money raised supports the children and programming at the Early Learning Center.
