Early packet pickup will be available Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the information kiosk downtown at Swiss Days. GASTON LIONS CLUB TWENTY THIRD ANNUAL 5K RUN AND WALK
The GASTON LIONS CLUB 5K RUN/WALK will start with registration at the Wes-Del Elementary School at 500 East Jackson Street, Gaston, IN 47342 at 7:00 AM on SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 2026. After registration is closed at 8:00 AM, a meeting will be held for participants and then everyone will precede to the starting line. The race will start promptly at 8:30 AM in the Town of Gaston and finish at the Gaston Lions Club Park.
Those needing a shuttle prior to the race, must register by 7:30 AM to drop off a vehicle at the Gaston Lions Club Park and be shuttled back to the starting line. A shuttle will also be provided back to the Town of Gaston, if needed, after the race.
The course will start on the corner of South Washington and Vine Streets, continue through the town of Gaston, south on the Cardinal Greenway, east onto Country Road 750 N, north on County Road 450 W and end at the Gaston Lions Club Park, 7449 W. CR 850 N. The course is mostly flat, with many straight sections so is conducive to recording good times.

Each turn on the route will be manned by a Gaston Lions Club Member or police officer to ensure participants stay on the correct route. Mile markers will be placed each half mile on the route on the side of the trail or road, but not directly on the trail surface. One or two water stations will be provided on the course, depending on the temperature on race day. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the finish line. Awards will be given to the Top three finishers in each of the eleven age groups for male and female and the overall male and female run winners. There will be LOTS of DOOR PRIZES! All preregistered runners and walkers will receive a T-shirt. Race day shirts may be limited.
Age groups for both male and female are: 12 & Under,13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-65, 66-69, 70-75 and 76 & over.
A FREE KIDS FUN RUN will be held at the Gaston Lions Club Park after the 5K Run is complete at about 9:15 AM. The KIDS FUN RUN is a distance of about a quarter mile. All Kids participating in the Fun Run will receive an award.
The Gauntlet Mud Run is an exciting race featuring natural terrain and military-inspired obstacles that challenge participants to work together and persevere. Competitors will face walls to climb, ropes to swing across, and mud to crawl through—the more obstacles you conquer, the muddier you get!
While the event is a fun community activity, top finishers will be rewarded. The top two male and female runners in each age group (13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69) will be recognized. The Top Overall Finisher will receive a $100 cash prize, and additional awards will go to the Largest Team, Largest School, and Fastest Team.
All registrants will receive a free drink token, a finisher's medal, and a t-shirt (if registered by July 15th).
Event Location: Chenoweth Trails, home of the Light Foundation —a nonprofit dedicated to providing youth with opportunities that inspire passion, purpose, and success. All event proceeds benefit the Light Foundation.
Race Waves: The first wave starts at 10:00 a.m., with new waves every 15 minutes. Select your preferred wave during online registration. Participants should arrive 1 hour prior to their wave for warm-up and check-in. Be at the start line 15 minutes before your wave.
Kids Race: The Kids Race (ages 5-12) starts at 12:00 p.m. sharp! Any registered adult can join at no extra charge. Parents must be registered participants to run with their children. It's a great family-friendly event!

Safety Rules:
Course Hazards: The Gauntlet Mud Run is designed to challenge participants. Only attempt obstacles you’re comfortable with. Notify a race official if you’re injured or unsafe.
Waiver: By registering, you agree to the Chenoweth Trails waiver and acknowledge the risks of participating.
Eligibility: Participants must be physically able to complete the course. No one under 12 is allowed on the main course (kids may participate in the Kids Course at noon).
Race Bibs: Participants must wear their race bib facing forward.
Photographers: The Light Foundation may use event photos and video footage for promotional purposes.
Prohibited Items: No animals, strollers, joggers, bicycles, or recreational vehicles on the course.
Disqualification: Disrespecting race officials, unsportsmanlike conduct, or cheating will lead to disqualification.
Medical Assistance: Medical personnel have the authority to remove participants from the event if needed.
Alcohol Restrictions: No outside alcohol is allowed. Beer will be sold on-site for those 21+.
Spectator Restrictions: Spectators may only be in designated areas; non-participants cannot enter the race course.

Join Darke County Parks for our 5th annual Tour de Darke!
Spend your Sunday morning in the saddle on a leisurely ride through the scenic countryside and quaint communities of Darke County. This event is not a race, and instead a tour of the sites. There are six scenic routes to appeal to all cyclists - Mini (14 miles), Bambino (25 miles), Medio (40 miles), Gran (65 miles), Gran Max (83 miles), Ultima (100 miles). All routes begin and end at the Bish Discovery Center (404 N. Ohio St., Greenville OH 45331)
In order to ensure proper support from our volunteers, we ask all cyclists to begin their ride as listed below.
~~ Mini - start at 8am; no later than 9am
~~ Bambino/Medio - start at 7am; no later than 8:30am
~~ Gran- start at 7am; no later than 7:30am
~~ Gran Max- start at 6:45am; no later than 7am

Event Description
This is the 52st running of the Parlor City Trot! Along with the half-marathon, there are also 10k and 5k runs. The course is flat and fast and winds through the streets of Bluffton, Ouabache State Park, and along the Wabash River on the scenic River Greenway. Runners of ALL speeds are welcome but there is a4 hour time limit for the half marathon event (early starts available).

Join us for our fifth annual Burris Hoot Scoot 5K, 1 mile, and Owlet Dash! Spend the morning getting active and gathering with the family and our Burris community for a fitness fundraiser and post-race festivities!
Register by August 15 to guarantee your Hoot Scoot t-shirt! Supplies will be limited on a first-come, first-served basis after.
Proceeds benefit the Burris Owls PTSO in their support of the teachers, students, and families of Burris Laboratory School for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Burris Owls PTSO is a 501c3 organization that hosts community events and teacher appreciation throughout the year, awards an annual scholarship to a graduating Burris senior, offers teacher grant opportunities, and more.
Family friendly 4 hour adventure race with trails, mountain biking, and canoeing at Prairie Creek Reservoir.
MOUNTAIN BIKING IS ENCOURAGED, BUT OPTIONAL.
Kids 12 and under race FREE!
Ages 13-17 are $50.
Each group needs to have at least one person OVER 18. If this doesn't fit your team, contact the race directors and we can discuss options with you.
