Appleseeds Cross Country is a competitive cross country racing team. Our team is open to kids going into Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. We compete in several meets throughout the course of the season, which are outlined below. Appleseeds welcomes kids from all schools in the area as well as kids who are homeschooled.
We have 3 age groups: elementary school, middle school, and high school. Elementary athletes will race 1 mile, middle schoolers will race 3k, and high schoolers will race 5k.
The race schedules will differ between age groups. Please make sure you register for the appropriate level based on your child's age. The grades are denoted in parentheses next to the name of the level.
We will practice Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning August 10th through September 30th.

The Major Taylor Cincinnati Cycling Club is proud to host the 2nd Annual Cincinnati Queen City Ride, a three-day cycling experience designed to bring riders together from across the country for an unforgettable weekend in the Queen City.
Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just getting comfortable on the bike, this ride is for you.
Here’s what to expect:
Friday – Welcome Ride + Kickoff Dinner: Kick things off with a relaxed, beginner-friendly welcome ride through the city, followed by a kickoff dinner where you can meet fellow riders, connect, and set the tone for the weekend.
Saturday – Main Ride Event: This is the heart of the weekend. Choose from three ride levels designed to meet you where you are: from fun and light to more challenging routes that will push your endurance. No matter your pace, you’ll be riding alongside a supportive and encouraging community.
Sunday – Recovery Ride: Wind things down with a smooth, easy recovery ride. It’s the perfect way to reflect, reconnect, and close out the weekend on a high note.
But this weekend isn’t just about cycling—it’s about experiencing Cincinnati.
During your stay, you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy the vibrant energy of the Midwest Black Family Reunion (https://myblackfamilyreunion.org/) one of the largest African American cultural celebrations in the Midwest, featuring live music, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a strong sense of community.

The venue opens one hour before our first batch. We advise that you arrive 45 minutes before your start time, so you have plenty of time to go through registration before we call you to the start pen for warm up 5 minutes before you start on your selected batch time.
Spectators are welcome for FREE, please note kids must be accompanied by an adult/legal guardian. There will be an event village where they can cheer you and your kids on at the start and finish line.
We have a Bag Drop ($5 on the day) where you can leave your stuff until you have completed the course.
A minimum of 1 Adult and 1 Kid need to register. A maximum of 4 Kids can register per 1 Adult. Additional Adult and Kid tickets can be purchased separately.
The minimum age for a Kids entry is 5 years young – but please, parents/legal guardians, kids (up to 13 years old) must be accompanied by a registered, participating adult. Event waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian of all Kids under the age of 18. No waiver, no run, no exceptions.

The run/walk starts at 9 a.m. at our Sister Cities Park on Pennsy Trail, next to the Greenfield Police Department. The race is a down-and-back course along the trail, heading west before turning around and returning to the Sister Cities Park.
Have you been to the Shelbyville Farmers Market? WONDERFUL! This event starts and ends in the heart of the Farmers Market! Course is chip timed and is on paved road! Animal trophies for top 3 overall and 1st-3rd each age group! Country Farmer themed race then shop at the market! Fun Farmer Market shirts and snacks! Free 1/4 mile Half Pint Kids run at 7:45 (kids 10 & Under). Lots of restaurants and shops close by! This event benefits Healthy Shelby a program that many Shelby County community charities!
The Panther Prowl is a fundraiser for the St Lawrence cross country team. An out and back run along the Dearborn County Trail. Starts and finish outside Ivy Tech near the convention center.

Join us on Saturday, August 15 in downtown Indianapolis for the 2026 Race Away From Domestic Violence 5k, benefiting the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV).
This impactful 5k aims to raise awareness of the devastating affects that domestic violence has on our families and communities. ICADV works for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence – until the violence ends. Over the past 22 years, ICADV has raised over $400,000 to support survivors with resources and programs that increase their safety and stability including legal, housing and economic supports.
Participants can run, walk or roll through a route beginning at the IUI Michael A. Carroll Stadium, which offers beautiful views of the White River and Indianapolis Zoo. The 5K course is accessible and allows individuals of all ages and abilities to participate.

The proceeds from the event will be used to help fund the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. in May of 2025.
14th Annual 5K for Kelli

Saturday, August 15th at 9am.
Join us in remembering the life of Kelli James and honoring all the breast cancer survivors, the fighters and the loved ones we’ve lost. 100% of proceeds go to granting wishes for women with breast cancer through the Breast Wishes Foundation.
The 5k for Kelli Run/Walk is a super fun event for the whole family. It is a 3.1 mile out and back course that begins and ends next to Wegerzyn Gardens and winds along the beautiful Stillwater River. Because Kelli loved fairies, we encourage everyone to dress up in tutus, wings, and flower crowns. No fairy gear? No problem! We have everything you need at the merchandise tent with all proceeds going to Breast Wishes Foundation. We also offer free fairy face painting and colored hair spraying! Registration and Merchandise tents will open at 7:30 am.
Event Fees: Early Registration only $30! (through July 2nd) $35 Registration from July 3rd to Race Day (Register by July 25th to guarantee a super-soft and comfy t-shirt)

Course: Very flat & fast 2.0 Mile course through Kyle Park and the adjacent walking path
Awards: Special Awards to top overall Male and Female. Awards will also be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group
Team Race Awards: The top Female, Male and Co-ed teams will receive awards for their top 5 scoring members. Teams must have a minimum of 5 members to compete (no maximum). Team winners will be determined by adding the times of the top 5 fastest members.

One of our longest-running Trail Run Series venues, Southwestway Park offers a challenging and scenic course overlooking the White River. This is the final race in the 5k/15k DINO Trail Run Series. The 15k distance is a 5k lap followed by a 10k lap. Come join us for this always popular trail run be it your first race with us or final of all six series races!
Series champs are awarded following the normal awards ceremony.
We are excited to announce The Getting Miles Athletic Club's first annual Fort Wayne Park Race Series. Participants aged 12 and under are eligible to compete in this race series.
The Buckner Park Dash is a one mile race on the recreation trail in Buckner Park.
Make sure you arrive early to find a good parking spot, warm up, use the restrooms and pick up your race bib.
Series participants need to return their race bibs to the packet pickup station in order to receive points for the race. You will use the same race bib for all the events.
Runners will receive a race decal to put on their bib at the finish line.
Be sure to return your race bib to packet pickup after you finish the race. You will use the same bib for the entire season!
We are collecting non-perishable food items to help fill the local food lockers to help local families in need.
The Getting Miles Athletic Club is a local organization whose goal is to provide a community for recreational athletes of all levels.
