Welcome to the Central Illinois Summer Trail Series! The 1st race in this series will take place at Kinsey Park in Peoria, IL. It is following the 4.16 mile trail loop that is used in the
"Yellowbrick Backyard Ultra" that is hosted on the course the very next day by Sophie Russell (If you've never heard of a backyard--- you should check it out!)! This is a great way to get exposure to trails, and also learn a little bit about the local ultramarathon community.
The course offers hills, plenty of runnable sections, and some Wizard of Oz themed stretches to bring some joy to the grind! Elevation gain for this loop is approximately 240’.
