The Strider Half Marathon is our late summer Half Marathon. The course starts and finishes in Estabrook Park at the beer garden. Runners will enjoy a few miles around beautiful Estabrook Park before heading out onto the lovely and mostly shaded Oak Leak Trail bike path. Runners will return to the finish line at the Estabrook Park beer garden to enjoy a great post-race party with the famous hot breakfast, beverages, beer, and music! The race fits perfectly into many fall marathon build-up plans.

RAMP will be hosting the 13th Annual 3K Walk/Wheel, 5K Run, 1/2 Marathon! All proceeds from these events will go directly to RAMP. This run is USATF certified (IL 17063NM) and is a 2026 RRR Circuit Race. See more information about the RRR Circuit at www.rockfordroadrunners.org. FAQ
When is packet pickup?
Packet pick will be Thursday, August 13th from 12:00pm-6:00pm at RAMP, 202 Market Street, Rockford, Illinois or Saturday morning beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the event.
When/Where do I turn in my donations for RAMP?
You may turn in your donations at packet pickup the morning of the event. For more info, contact RAMP at 815-968-7467.
What happens if I cannot participate for any reason?
There are no medical comps, rollovers, refunds, or transfers of any kind.
Can I register on race day?
Yes! Race day registration and packet pickup is from 6:30-7:00 a.m at the City Market Pavilion. Race day registration costs $40 for the 3K and 5K and $75 for the 1/2 Marathon Run. To speed up the process you may print off and fill out the brochure.
Am I guaranteed a race shirt?
No. Race shirts are only guaranteed to those who register by July 20th. After that, shirts will be first come first serve based on availability, so register early! New this year for an additional cost receive a crewneck sweatshirt instead of a t-shirt.
If you raise $50 for RAMP by July 20th, you will earn a RAMP event t-shirt!
What are the age brackets for the Half Marathon and 5K?
They are broken into male and female brackets into the following age groups:

Can I bring my stroller/dog?
Baby joggers/strollers are not permitted on the Half Marathon course. However baby joggers and strollers are permitted on the 3K Walk/Wheel course and the 5K Run course. If you plan to run/walk with a stroller, please position yourself near the back of the starting line. The only animals allowed on the courses are service dogs, please leave your dog at home. Thank you!
Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful invites you to join our 1st annual 5 k to raise funds vital to continue to enrich our community with recycling on various levels. We offer three collection facilities and have several programs that include medication collection, clothing drive and shred it day.
The 2026 Run & Walk event is Saturday, September 19th and includes both a timed 5 K and a fun walk around the park. We will of course have some music to motivate your body for this run, and fabulous giveaways including an event shirt! Onsite registration is not available this year. Please register early!! Race Description
Join us on October 31th, 2026, for a scenic run through the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest on the historic Ice Age Trail. Participants can choose between 100k and 50k distances. Each finisher will have the opportunity to brand their wooden medal on-site, with the option to have their finishing time burned on the back. Enjoy the stunning fall colors and be part of this memorable event.

The 100k and 50 races will both start at DJ Mackie Campground, situated on the Scuppernong trails. Participants will navigate the green loop of the Scuppernong trail and proceed to join the Ice Age Trail westward to Emma Carlin. The 50k runners will turn around at Emma Carlin, while the 100k runners will continue on to Whitewater. Over in the fest, the beer will be flowing, music will be jumpin’, and folks will be celebrating their victories with beautiful autumn views. Celebrate your race in true Milwaukee style with all-day entry to Milwaukee's Original Oktoberfest in Old Heidelberg Park on October 4, which is included with your registration!
Distances Available:
3.1 miles (5k): Walk, run, or jog along the Oak Leaf Trail, ending at Oktoberfest; all ages and abilities are welcome.

You can run or walk with or without your dog
Dogs must be on a leash (6 ft. max) at all times. All dogs must have a current rabies inoculation. Puppies six months of age or younger, or female dogs in any stage of heat, will not be allowed to participate. In addition, a dog whose behavior is unruly or might prove hazardous to other participants, dogs or spectators will be asked to leave the race. We urge you to consult with your veterinarian before registering for this race. He/she may advise you not to participate due to your pet’s health status.

RACE DAY
On site packet pick-up opens at 6:30 a.m.
ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. Online registration will remain open until the start of each race. Participants wanting to register on race day should do so at home before heading to the race site.
Each participant’s start time will be recorded as they cross the starting line.
Participants in the Half Marathon must start between 8:00AM to 8:05AM.
Participants in the 5K must start between 8:10AM to 8:15AM.
Runners failing to start within the assigned starting times for each race will be assigned the gun time for the start of their race and are subject to disqualification.
As participants finish, they will receive a text message and/or email with their finishing time. A list of overall finishing times for all competitors will be continually updated at www.thtiming.com while the race is in progress.
There is a 3 hour, 30 minute time limit for the half marathon. All runner support will conclude at 11:30AM

Race Awards after the last finishers of the 5Ks & 10Ks. We will do a "rolling" awards ceremony for the Half marathon as the results come in.
Course: A chip start for the Half, 10K & 5K (you will cross mats at start & finish), timed race on the streets of scenic Crown Point, IN All races are an out and back course. Starts and finishes in Lake Co. Fairgrounds.
Water Stations: There are 4 water stops you will pass 8 times along the out & back course. You will pass them 4 times on your way to the turnaround and 4 times again as you make your way back to the Finish. The stops will have water, Gatorade, gels & volunteers cheering you on!
Restrooms/Port-A-Potties: There are 3 restrooms/port-a-potties you will pass 6 times along the out & back course. Just like the water stops, you will pass 3 facilities on the way to the turnaround and pass them again on your way back to the Finish line.
3 1/2 hour time limit for Half marathon (16:00min pace). After 3 1/2 hours, the timing system goes away and you will NOT receive a time. If you are unable to maintain that pace, please consider doing the 10K as we will need to re-open the streets for normal traffic.

COST: Timed 5K & Non-Timed adults: $30. Kids 3-12: $20. Under 3 are free. Shirts extra $16 are available thru Nov. 16th.
Early Packet Pickup:
Tuesday, Nov. 24th, 5-6 pm, Methodist Church at 352 S. Main
Wednesday, Nov. 25th, 5-7pm in the Industrial Bldg at the Fairgrounds.
Race Day Pickup: 6:45 - 7:45 am before the event.
Course: Flat & Fast 5K course on Crown Point streets! 2K course stays inside the park
Suggested Time Limit: 1 hour (19 min pace) for the 5K. This helps us to not tie up the roads for too long. If your pace is slower than 19 minutes, please consider moving to the 2K option.
Are dogs & strollers allowed? Dogs are allowed on the course but not in the building. Dogs should be current on their shots, on non-retractable leashes, be friendly to other dogs & people, and should be watched at all times.
Strollers are permitted but please watch for other runners
Race Awards: Top Overall Male & Female. Top Masters Male & Female. Top 3 Male & Female in each age group: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Please Note: No refunds will be given due to weather or for any other reason. You also cannot transfer your registration after November 1st. If you do not pick up your shirt at the event, unclaimed shirts will be sold after run.
