    Life Time Fitness will be hosting an indoor triathlon on Sunday, February 22nd, starting at 7:00am

    All current CDC Guidelines will be followed for the area.

    All participants and volunteers will be required to check in on the day of the event. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, medal, swim cap, and bib number.

    The segments are as follows: 10 minute pool swim, 10 minute transition, 30 minute cycle in cycle studio, 5 minute transition, and 20 minute treadmill run.

    Each of the triathlon waves are limited to 10 participants per wave. Waves begin at 7:00 AM and go every 20 minutes. You will be able to select your wave time during registration.

    Please note that we reserve the right to combine waves

    No Transfers - No Refunds- No Roll Overs

    All participants will be provided body marking (optional) and a bib number which must be worn during the bike and run portions.

    The swim portion of the triathlon will be held in the lap pool which is 4 ft deep and will have two swimmers per lane. The pool is 25 yards

    The bike portion will be held in the cycling studio. The run portion will be on a treadmill on the fitness floor.

    Award Categories - Awards will be based on total distance covered

    Top Male/Female in the Swim, Bike and Run.

    The Oak Brook Park District is proud to host the Dream Team Dri Tri. Don't miss this triathlon for ages 12+ and all skill levels.

    This Dream Team Dri Tri consists of 2 person teams completing the following distances:

    Row on Concept 2 Rowers (3000 meters) Teammates alternating every 500 meters

    Cycle on Air Assault bikes (3.0 miles) Teammates alternating every 0.5 miles

    Run/Walk 12 laps on our indoor track (1.5 miles) Teammates alternating every lap

    Teams can be same or mixed gender. Each team will be assigned a heat at registration, and confirmations will be sent out the week before the event. Heats start every 30 minutes, beginning at 7:30am, with 6 teams per heat. All participants must start at the times indicated in their confirmation email (no exceptions).

    Appropriate attire, including athletic shoes, are required for all events. First place team will receive the grand prize!

    This event is approved by the venue to occur as a live in-person event.     Cantigny (pronounced "Can - Tee - Knee")

    Cantigny is the former home of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, longtime editor, and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. The 500-acre estate features gardens, the Robert R. McCormick Museum, the First Division Museum, and a 27-hole championship public golf course. 5K participants and their families are invited to explore and enjoy Cantigny.

    Cantigny 5K Run/Walk 2025

    The Cantigny 5K Run/Walk is a benefit for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and registrants may enjoy access to Cantigny for the rest of the afternoon.

    The course tours the grounds of Cantigny and Cantigny Golf. Participants will run past Cantigny’s Gardens, the Robert R. McCormick House, and the First Division Museum. Please note that due to construction at Cantigny Golf, the course will be modified this year. Digital clocks or timers will be located at mile markers. Water stations will be set up at the halfway mark and at the start/finish line.

    Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans

    All proceeds from the Cantigny 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton, IL. The shelter is a not-for-profit transitional living facility that provides assistance to U.S. veterans of any era, the opportunity to return to useful and productive lives by providing them with the skills for independent living.

    Race Schedule

    Friday, October 17, 2025

    11 am - 7 pm: Early packet pick-up, Visitors Center

    Saturday, October 18, 2025

    7 am - 8:45 am: Packet Pick-up, Visitors Center

    7:30 am – 12:30 pm: American Legion Pancake Breakfast

    9 am: 5K Run/Walk Start

    10 am: 5K Awards Ceremony, followed by 1-mile and ¼-mile runs

    Your disposable timing chip will be included with your packet and attached to the back of your bib number.

    The parking fee will be waived for registered participants picking up their packets.

    Award Ceremony

    At approximately 10 am, outside in the South Lot, near the finish line, the awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers.

    The top three male and female overall finishers for the 1-Mile and 1/4-Mile runs will also receive an award immediately following the end of each race.

    Awards will be given only to registered runners with a valid chip. The official race results provided by Mattoon Multisport will be used for overall and age group rankings.

    Parking

    Ample free parking for race participants and volunteers is available close to the Visitors Center and the finish line, so participants can leave gear in their car.

    American Legion Pancake Breakfast

    7:30 am – 12:30 pm in Le Jardin

    $12 (ages 13 and up)

    $5 (ages 5 – 12)

    Free for children 4 and under

    Tickets to the pancake breakfast may be purchased during packet pick up on October 18th at a discounted rate of $10 per adult.

    Bicycles, Strollers, Etc.

    Bicycles, in-line skates, roller skates, scooters, other wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs), and dogs are not allowed on the course, will not be allowed through the finish chutes, and will not be included in the results. Runners with baby strollers may not run competitively and must start after and remain behind runners for the entire race.

    Come join us for the BridgeTogether for Autism Foundation 5K, where we walk, run and unite to support children with autism in our community!

    Lace up your sneakers and get ready to hit the pavement as we kick off the inaugural BridgeTogether Foundation 5K and raise funds for summer programming for autistic children.

    With a growing need to have accessibility to inclusive and supported summer camps, your participation in this event will help us bridge the gap in offerings for neurodivergent children to learn and have fun on their summer breaks in the form of mini camps with their BridgeBuddies.

    This event will kick off at 7075 Veterans Blvd in Burr Ridge, so mark your calendars and spread the word as we run (or walk) the 5K and then celebrate with live music, food and community engagement.

    Registrants after 11/25 may not be guaranteed a shirt

    Whether you're a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best or a family looking for a meaningful morning out, your participation bridges the gap and helps a neurodivergent child connect, learn, and thrive.
