Start - Finish is located at the Atkins City Park Pavilion on the west side of the park. The race start time is 7:30 AM. The course will be on the streets & will be chip timed! Packets can be picked up before the race at the Atkins City Park Pavilion on the west side of the park starting at 7:00AM.
AWARDS: Medals will be given to the top 3 places in each division and trophies to overall male & female runners!

Get ready to swim, bike, and run with us at the inaugural YMCA of Washington County Triathlon on Saturday, August 8th at 8:00 AM! This exciting, community-focused event is perfect for beginners and seasoned athletes alike.
The race kicks off with a 300-yard swim in the indoor aquatic center at the Washington YMCA (520 W 5th St., Washington, IA 52353), providing a comfortable and controlled start. After the swim, participants will transition to the 13 mile bike course on the Kewash Trail, riding out and back on this scenic, flat route. The final leg is a 5K run, starting and finishing at the Y and traveling through beautiful Sunset Park.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or trying your first triathlon, this event offers a fun, supportive atmosphere that celebrates healthy living and community spirit. Join us for a great morning of fitness and fun!

Timing services provided by OnlineRaceResults - results will be available on the timing website and periodically updated throughout the day: Online Race Results Course Description P.C.T.R will be run on Pleasant Creek’s outer loop of the equestrian trail (the loop is 15K in distance). The race will start near the playground park area north of the beach parking lot. All distances will run clockwise this year and will exit the trail at the same location you enter to return to the start / finish line for each loop (i.e. you will return to the start to begin each subsequent loop).The course consists primarily of dirt and grass trails with small water crossings possible. The course has rolling hills but has produced some fast times. Please, no strollers or pets are allowed on the course. All are welcome to the park and to stay for post-race activities. DETAILS: Compete in an 18-hole, four-person best shot–with winners being crowned at the conclusion of the event.
Each golfer will take 3 shots for “Closest to the Pin” and 3 shots for “LongestDrive” before play begins, with awards presented afterward.
Enjoy lunch served between the front and back nines.

Miles in the Maize is a unique running experience for people of all ages and abilities! With a 5k and Maize Mile, this event takes competitors through a unique off-road course weaving around a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and other beautiful fall Iowa scenery!
The Maize Mile will kick off the festivities at 9:30am, and the 5K will follow at 10:00am! Costume Awards will be voted on and awarded, along with Maize Mile Awards at 9:50am - prior to the start of the 5K!
There will be a brief post-race awards ceremony at the conclusion of the 5k for overall & age group winners.
This year we are excited to announce our partnership with the Corridor/Eastern Iowa Let Me Run and Girls on the Run organizations! Proceeds from the race will be directly donated back to both programs, and you can designate donations online and in person to either organization. These groups help foster community, fun, and fitness for boys and girls in local elementary schools!
