Inspired by the Lunar New Year, this race invites runners to step into a new season with intention, momentum, and shared energy. Whether you are pushing your pace or running simply to be present, the Lunar 5K honors progress, renewal, and the power of moving forward together.

About Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the year based on the lunar calendar and is celebrated across many Asian cultures, including Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and others. It is a time of renewal, reflection, and forward momentum, representing a reset and the opportunity to step into the year ahead with intention, clarity, and hope. At its core, Lunar New Year is about moving forward in both time and spirit.

The Year of the Horse symbolizes strength, endurance, freedom, and constant motion. The horse is associated with energy, independence, progress, and perseverance, representing the courage to move boldly, the stamina to keep going, and the confidence to trust the path ahead.

The Chamblee Bulldog Dash 5K is a timed run/walk event sponsored by the Chamblee High School Blue & Gold Foundation and the Chamblee Middle School Education Foundation. Both first-time runners and seasoned athletes are invited to race with us, and we encourage the whole family to come join in the fun! Proceeds from the event go to support long-term programs at Chamblee High School and Chamblee Middle School. We are so grateful for our Chamblee community, sponsors, alumni, parents, and supporters!

Race Swag: Every registered participant will receive a t-shirt, race bib, and finisher's medal!

Awards: We will have Age Group, Overall, and Masters category awards as well as awards for participation by different groups.

Packet Pickup: Race pickup will take place on Thursday, March 5th from 4-7pm at Big Peach Ride+Run Town Brookhaven. Race Day pickup will also be available beginning at 7am on race day, but we'd greatly appreciate folks picking up their packet early if at all possible. Registration is available at packet pickup and on race morning via QR code. Credit card or Debit card only. No cash or checks.
