Taylor Ranch Elementary School is excited for the return of Shoot for the Stars 5k on February 28, 2026!
A great morning event with something for everyone! Chip-timed 5K with awards suitable for all ages and all levels. And a great post-race celebration. The race starts at 9 am.
Your 5K race swag includes:
Custom Shoot for the Stars finisher medal for the 5K finishers!
Custom Short-Sleeve Race Shirt. (Subject to availability, style and color may change)
Shirt deadline: End of January. After this time, shirts or sizes are not guaranteed and will be limited to what is available to choose on RunSignUp.
Advance Packet Pickup: Taylor Ranch Elementary School (2500 Taylor Ranch Trail, Venice, FL 34293) on the Thursday before the race, 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you cannot attend, you will be able to pick up your race packet at 8 am on race day.
Upon completion of the run any shirts not picked up will be available to trade
No medals will be saved post race. If packets /shirts/medals are not picked up you will be forfeiting them.

Our Cause: Taylor Ranch School has a long-standing history of community service and giving back to our Venice community. This year's event will help set our current and former students up for success.
We are funding senior scholarships for former TRS Trailblazers who have continued their commitment to community throughout high school.
Our main fundraising goal is to secure two interventionists for the 2026-2027 school year. Interventionists work directly with students to reach grade-level mastery in both reading and math. Their expertise and time is of great benefit to our teachers and students!

Do both the Shark's Tooth 10K on Saturday, March 7, 2026, and the Shark Fin 5K on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Venice Airport Festival Grounds.

Register for just the Shark's Tooth 10K on Saturday or the Shark Fin 5K on Sunday.
Registration for the Megalodon Challenge includes the race shirt (or choose "No Shirt" and save $5), the Shark's Tooth 10K Medal, Shark Fin 5K Medal and the Megalodon Mega Medal.
Can't run with us both days? During your Megalodon registration let us know you want to be Mega Flexible then indicate which event you'll be doing in-person and which will be virtual.
Can't be with us in-person either day? Register for the ALL VIRTUAL Megalodon Challenge (or Virtual Shark's Tooth 10K or Virtual Shark Fin 5K) and we will ship your Megalodon Swag to you at the address you indicate during your registration, shipping fees included in the registration.

The run will be held April 4th, 2026 at Legacy Park, with a chip timed start at 8am!
Your finishing time will be texted or emailed to you based on what you have set up through RunSignUp, so make sure you put the right info, like yours, not your ex's cousin's info, they don't care how fast you are. But do run fast, because you know that those Fools over at Gulf Breeze Apparel are sure to come up with some sort of baller awards, so be ready to run as fast as your little legs will go! And of course, ALL finishers WILL receive a Foolish finisher's medal! Because who wants to run a race and not get a medal?! We're totally going to feed you and give you some drinks as well, Chick-fil-A Pelican Plaza will be filling those grumbly tummies, yummmmm.
Can't make it out to run with us in person, but you still want the awesome race swag?! Join our Virtual event and we'll mail you the swag approximately 2 weeks after the live event.

Thursday 4/2- 3pm-6pm at Gulf Breeze Apparel, 606 Cypress Ave Venice.
Friday 4/3- 3pm-7pm at Gulf Breeze Apparel, 606 Cypress Ave Venice.
Packets will also be available for pickup on race morning 7:00am - 7:45am under the pavilion.
Packets not picked up before the start of the race will be forfeited.

The FCA 5K is a family focused run, welcoming every runner/walker to join us in exercise, music,
entertainment, and friendship.
The event will help cultivate the high school student leadership of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
