About
This is essentially the original Yuba Gold 50K point-to-point course from South Yuba Campground to Bear Valley.Despite the "Virtual" banner, this is not a virtual event. We are using this format so that runners can self-report results. These are Hybrid events (aka DIY or Self-Guided). Essentially, what this means is you'll go out and complete the course on your own, with friends if you like, and/or with aid provided by friends.Afterward, submit your results here with your activity link for proof of completion, and you'll receive a finisher award and rank in the results. Note that you must submit your results within one week of the close of this event. You will have the entire month of October complete it. In other words, you choose when to run the course - it just has to be run continuously (all in one go) and within the specified time period.GPX fileFeel free to coordinate with others in the Facebook group or Strava club.More Hybrid Events from Skybreaker Racing

Overview
Email the RD at [email protected] to get on the waiting list, everybody who has ever been on the waiting list has gotten in25 and 50 mile fatass style run along the wild and Scenic North Fork of the American River. Expect roughly 10,000' of climbing for the 25 mile and 20,000' for the 50, with a good amount of bushwhacking and route finding thrown in for good measure. Free to enter, but the rule is that you have to wait at the finish for at least one runner to come in.The forest service has confirmed that we don't need a permit as long as we keep it small, so registration for both distances combined will be limited to 50 people. Since portions are off trail, I'm not going to post the map until the week before the event, but it will start and finish at the Shirttail Creek Campground near Foresthill, CA and go up and down out of the canyon using Euchre Bar, Pioneer Mine, Ebeneezer's highway, Green Valley, Mumford Bar, and Italian Bar. There will be one location for drop bags and crew to meet you that you will pass through twice.Don't kid yourself, this is a hard, hard run. Last year's finishers took 14 hours for the 25, and 25 hours for the 50. Distances are approximate, and may refer to nautical miles.Ultrasignup is gracious enough to host fatass events for no cost, but unfortunately the waitlist does not set up for free events. If the event is full, email the RD to get on the waitlist. Everybody who has ever been on the waitlist has gotten in. We have a group campsite for Friday and Saturday night.
