10 km (ages 14 +)
Kids 2.5 km (ages under 13)
Parents or caregivers are welcome to accompany children in the 2.5 km race at no extra charge.
Location and course information:
The registration area and start/finish line is at the Sumner Scarborough Clock Tower, 147 Esplanade, Sumner, Christchurch.
Parking is available along the Esplanade.
The course is a flat 2.5 km out-and-back on the Esplanade walkway. 2.5 km entrants will complete the course once and 10 km entrants four times.
There will be one aid station offering water and Pure electrolyte drink.
Pushchairs/buggies are permitted.
Please be aware that the Esplanade will be open to the public during the event.
Pawsome Run

Woof, woof - Charlie here! I am the proud ambassador of the upcoming "Pawsome Run" event.
I am excited to invite all my fellow dog friends to join me for the "Pawsome Run" at the Canterbury A & P Park. This is our chance to show our humans how much fun running can be. Here are all the details you need to get those tails wagging:
Every Human competitor receives a Pawsome Medal when they finish and every Dog receives a Pawsome Dog Tag when they finish. I've also talked my humans into making some changes to make the event more exciting for us, with some obstacles to be added and those that want to be competitive, you'll also be timed and get your results.
Event options:
21.1 km Half Marathon (ages 15+)
10 km (ages 14+)
Kids 2.5 km (ages 13 and under)
Schedule:
07:45 - Registration opens
08:30 - Half marathon starts
09:00 - 10 km and Kids 2.5 km start
09:30 - Kids prizegiving (time is approximate)
10:30 - Half marathon and 10 km prizegiving (time is approximate)
11:30 - All races cut-off (no official time given for finishers completing the course after this time)
Ride The Rakaia - Cycle Race --- Saturday 24th October 2026 2026 will again see the start of the race at the Mead Community Hall 1km up from State Highway One and the race will be 93km. You will ride up the North Bank of the Rakaia River, across the Rakaia Gorge Bridges and back down the South side of the Rakaia River, finishing in Rakaia outside the Rakaia Domain. * Ride the Rakaia - 93km * * T * * "Let’s do what the salmon can’t do, go up, across and then back down the river all in one day" * Please note: The race no longer crosses the SH1 Rakaia River Bridge

Colour Zone Run (Festival) Sunday 22nd November 2026 Colour Zone Run (Festival) is just that, a Festival of Colour with heaps of Colour Zones throughout. At every Colour Zone you will be covered with Colour. Yes, this will be the most colourful event you will ever see and be in. There are colours from the rainbow plus many extras, this will be thrown, blasted and blown about throughout the run/walk. There will be colour throughout the run/walk/crawl - colour, colour, colour. You will be blasted with colour from all angles, or just get your mate or mates covered in colour. When we say blasted - we mean blasted - it will come at you from every angle.

Bridge to Bridge North - Sunday 19th June 2027
Bridge to Bridge is two different events. The original Bridge to Bridge is held in December on the South Bank of the Waimakariri River and the Bridge to Bridge "North" is held in June on the North Bank of the Waimakariri River.
We also have a piece of mind cancellation insurance available for individual competitors, if you wish to purchase this. It covers a full refund of your entry fee in the case of cancellation of the event, whether it is for Force Majure, Disease or Pandemic. Refer Terms and Conditions for more information.

Wine Run Saturday 16th January 2027 What you’ve always dreamed of a Wine Run, that’s right, Exercise, Fancy Dress and Wine followed by a Party, with Live Entertainment. Put Saturday 16th January 2027 in your diary now and get ready to have the time of your life. Starting with a run or walk, within the Rossendale Wines Vineyard at 100 Old Tai Tapu Road - 7 minutes south of Christchurch. We're making the run/walk that bit more enjoyable for you with a wine tasting approximately every kilometre, some kilometres may vary a bit as these are Wine Kilometres. 2027 Wine Run will see us back to the 2 lapped course of 5km, with a Wine Tasting every 1km. It is optional for all participants to do 5km or 10km. There will be Cheese and Crackers at every tasting station along with a wine tasting, plus plenty of water and electrolytes for you to keep you well hydrated. When you finish there will be a memorabilia Wine Run glass and Wine Run Coin waiting for you and you can redeem your favourite wine from
the bar with your Wine Run Coin. Then food and live entertainment to enjoy throughout the evening. Plus, to get you home safely, you can purchase a bus ticket and catch the pre-arranged buses to and from Rossendale Wines from all over Canterbury. "Check out the bus locations" Or else you can arrange your own transport. Plenty of car parking available. "We recommend a sober driver if if bringing a vehicle". You can see why this is the Best Run Ever! Check out the Video from the 2022 Wine Run (Wine Run is now held at Rossendale Wines) This is an R18 event, meaning everyone has to be 18 years of age to take part and to be onsite. Sorry, absolutely no one under the age of 18 will be permitted in the Vineyard for Wine Run. Proof of age will be required when entering the Vineyard for Wine Run. This id must also match the information you entered when you registered.

The Christchurch Motorway Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, 28th February 2027, starting and finishing at Canterbury A&P Park.
Enjoy a fast, focused outing on the Christchurch Southern Motorway pathways with no vehicles on the course. The motorway hums beside you while you move in peace.
This event welcomes everyone—from first timers to elites. The fast, flat course is built for personal bests across the Half Marathon, 10km, and 5km.
You can run, walk, or hybrid, run a bit and walk a bit. There is a walking section in all three distances, and the Kidz Dash is a 2km run for young runners.

Click here Krank It Monday 26th April 2027 Bottle Lake Forest Park What is Krank It? Krank It is a Children's and Women's Mountain Bike Race. You can enter as an Individual or Team of 2 Relay. Plus, the new category for 3-6 years, 2km bike with mum, no balance bike in this category children must be able to ride a pedal bike and be supported by mum. If more than one child and mum or grandma can't do it then dad can ride with the wee ones. No charge for Mum and the 3–6-year-old gets the medal.
Urban Estates Selwyn Marathon Sunday 6th June 2027 The Urban Estates Selwyn Marathon will be held on King's Birthday long weekend - Sunday 6th June 2027. This starts and finishes at the Lincoln Events Centre in Lincoln. The scenery of the event is really that of Selwyn, with the Town of Lincoln and all the development going on, coupled with the Country and Rural feel, even a run through a vineyard. The route takes you through Rossendale Wines off the Akaroa Highway and back out onto Old Tai Tapu Road. Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km distances on offer, and a flat, fast course - what else could you ask for? The 10km is an out and back route. Sorry you don't get to run through Rossendale Wines but if you are 1st, 2nd or 3rd you will get a sample of the wines. Register today, secure your spot and tackle the Selwyn Marathon, Half Marathon or 10km. The Course is certified by a Certificated Road Race Course Measurer for World Athletics. Grade and certified in corporation with AIMS.
