Yoga and Sport With Refugees is a remarkable nonprofit organization that has been providing a safe space for community, health, and empowerment since October 2017. Founded on the Greek island of Lesvos by Estelle, YSR was created to support the thousands of people living in the Moria refugee camp. Their unique and powerful model is community-led, with classes taught by coaches from refugee backgrounds. After the Moria camp was destroyed by fire in 2020, they showed incredible resilience by continuing their work in the new camp and have since expanded to Athens and Ioannina, offering over 10 different sports activities to approximately 400 people a day.
