Following last year’s success, we are back at Tittesworth Visitor Centre again. But new for this year we have an exciting additional new event at the location – Family Fun Day with a trail around the reservoir. The Mountain Challenge Trek will again be setting off from Tittesworth Visitor Centre, walkers self-navigate across the amazing scenery with stunning views of the water and surrounding areas. You need to be able to read maps and have proper hiking shoes to survive the day! However, you will enjoy spectacular views and exhilarating inclines before descending back towards Leek for refreshments and hot food at Tittesworth Visitor Centre.
In the morning Teams set off from Tittesworth Visitor Centre (after a kit check) with their start time recorded officially. Participants should prepare for a long day; the weather can be unpredictable, and teammates will need to work together.
There is a formal ‘Kit List’ for both individuals and teams, which is required to be able to participate in the event. Teams need to have a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 6 people.
Income raised from this event will go towards a project in Bangladesh that funds climate resilient water, sanitation and hygiene being supported by the Severn Trent WaterAid committee. Thank you for your support.

We're excited to be back in Nottingham again, after last year's amazing weather and brilliant entry numbers!
In the early morning of Friday 17th July, hundreds of participants will take to the streets of Nottingham whilst the city is still asleep. The unique 5km course will start from Collin Street, pass through the pretty Lace Market Quarter, before travelling alongside Canal Street and Castle Boulevard, to return to the city via the Canal Tow Path.
At the end of the event, participants will enjoy a healthy breakfast with local seasonal fruits.
Entries are limited due to the unique route so hurry and snap one up before they sell out!
A BIT OF HISTORY
5.30 was created by designer Sergio Bezzanti and nutritionist Sabrina Severi in Modena, Italy in 2009. The idea was to promote a healthy lifestyle through regular physical activity and eating well.
The 5.3k walk/run happens at 5.30 in the morning of a business day in the city centre. Run 5.30 is an event that encourages positive emotions and aims at improving the quality of life of its participants by:
Increasing their awareness of the benefits of exercising and eating healthy foods
Showing that an earlier start of the day allows to fit in exercise without impacting the working day
Allowing to experience the city in a brand new (early morning) light
Making exercise fun and interactive with a really positive group of people encouraging each other
BUT... WHY AT 5.30 IN THE MORNING?
to promote daily physical activity
because the day is always so busy
to discover the city in a unique light
because a little movement helps the start of the day
because there is no traffic
because it does not steal family time
because the course is short and accessible to all
because it won't affect your weekend plans
because you get to eat delicious fresh fruit
because it takes very little to be happy!
WHAT DO I RECEIVE WITH THE ENTRY?
exclusive Run 5.30 tour t-shirt 100% cotton
fresh seasonal fruits refreshment + water
Run 5.30 medal
free download of the event pictures
free download of the post-event magazine
... and the opportunity to live an experience to remember!
CHARITY PARTNER
5.30 Nottingham will donate £1 for each entry to Maggies Centre in Nottingham.
MERCHANDISE
Once again, we are producing a limited number of 5.30 t shirts in a sweat-wicking fabric, which we know some people prefer to cotton. These are available to order upon entry and you will be contacted to make payment separately. The additional t shirt(s) can be picked up with your cotton tee. Wearing either option on the morning will act as your entry ticket!
